Replacing Your Water Filter
For side-by-side refrigerators with quarter-turn filter access in the base grille, follow these instructions for replacing your filter:
Rotate the cap counterclockwise to a vertical position, then pull.
Remove the filter cap by sliding it right or left. Set aside cap. Discard old filter.
Remove the packaging and O-ring covers from the new filter. Slide the filter cap back onto the end. Align the ridge on the filter with the ridge on the cap to make certain it is centered.
Hold the assembled cap and filter unit with the handle in the vertical position and push the new filter cartridge into the opening of the base grille until it stops. Rotate the cartridge cap clockwise to a horizontal position.
Flush the water system until a total of 3 gallons (12 L) has been dispensed.

Pictured is a Superba Double Bed Knitting Machine with the Front & Back Carriages connected on the right. On the left is the Garter Lace Transfer Carriage. This optional accessory is used to transfer stitches between the two needle beds to create knit and purl combination stitches like Garter Stitch, Seed Stitch, Moss Stitch and Basket Weave.
When you first begin to use this accessory, practice with a yarn that falls into the medium to heavy range for this gauge of machine. I suggest either a 4ply hand knitting yarn or baby yarn or Double Knitting Weight. Set your stitch size to 8 or 10 and use edge weights.
I also suggest beginning by working with 20 - 30 stitches maximum until you have practiced adjusting the amount of weights to use and learning the rhythm of using the carriages in tandem.
Superba Racking Position & Bed Spacing Indicators
On the majority of Superba knitting machines produced you will see these two indicators.
The Racking Position Indicator is the numerical scale shown with the green triangle above the current position of 3.5. This indicates the number of needles or stitches the Front Bed is currently off centre by.
Above this is a white indicator currently showing #3. This is the Bed Space indicator. This shows at a glance the current distance or gap between the Front Bed and Back Bed. The range on a Superba is 3-6 and the measurement is in millimetres.
