Seahorse low profile (Hippocampus taeniopterus)
Two days later we spotted a different seahorse on the same spot. Like they were getting together for a meeting in front of the Liberty wreck. In both cases the seahorses tried to keep a low profile in order not to attract attention on the sand. They had no cover or coral to hide in. A little strange.
Seahorses without cover will mimic debris, lying on their sides on the sand.
Low profile
That's the way yo go when the mountain gets angry. When the wind is howling, and you are on a small surface of rock, surrounded by steep inclines that will take you down 3000 meters very fast, on a very bumpy ride, you want to keep a very low profile.....
