We had planned to sand the floor ourselves - I'd done a course and had already hired the drum sander! - but the fiasco with the nailguns and floorboards meant we couldn't get it done. I had to call up these guys to come in and do the sanding for us. It's lucky we did in the end, even though it cost us $1000, because they did a much better job than we would have. The floorboards we bought from S&L were 2-3 mm thicker than the ones from our original floor, and they levelled the whole floor. It took them a whole day and three full garbage bags full of sawdust to get it level. Then the next day, they did with the rotary sander. Floor Sander The floor sander is huge (that's why I didn't tackle this project myself)!
