IBM ThinkPad X200S Laptop battery repair process

1. When IBM X200S Battery in hand, the first to do is to view the appearance, to confirm whether there is injury, read and record the plate, and then read the battery information with SBW and collected data. 2. Disassemble the battery, knife to the corner, try to pry lightly, to prevent PCB scratches or caused batteries short circuit. 3. Measuring batteries, measurement each batteries voltage, analysis reasons of damage. 4. Observe the battery circuit board situation, get the following information: control chip models, memory models, self-destruct fuse status, whether there are injuries or corrosive liquids. 5. Record points-core connection method, separate batteries and circuit boards 6. In accordance with the IBM ThinkPad X200S Battery circuit board of different models, to unlock, unlock principle is backup first ,and then the unlock. 7. Assembly new batteries and new unlock board 8. Through the battery interface scl sda and gnd to read the battery information,ensure that whether the battery control circuit is working. 9. Test on the laptop, If there is no laptop see next section 10. If the client laptop is not here, can use appropriate voltage (output voltage higher than the current batteries 3v or so) of the DC power supply interface in the battery to recharge the battery for a little time, (not all notebook computer batteries do not take charge) reading the battery information ,Or use sbw software to do ThinkPad X200S Battery charge and discharge cycles to adapters, and resistance testing. 11. Adhesions after passing the basic test case. |
