Leanza Cornett began competing in pageants to earn scholarship money for college at Jacksonville, FL. She garnered the titles of Miss Jacksonville and Miss Florida before becoming 1993’s Miss America. Since giving up her title, Leanza has served as a television correspondent and host. Among her credits are â€SEntertainment Tonight,” NBC’s â€SWeekend Today Show,” â€SThe Miss America Pageant,” â€SWho Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?,” ABC Family’s â€SThe Bachelor Tells All,” and the Fine Living Network’s â€STricks of Trade.” In addition, Leanza has stage credits. She has appeared in productions of Barefoot in the Park, Godspell, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Bye Bye Birdie, and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. She, her husband, and their two children live in Los Angeles.
