Sterling Silver Dragonfly Ring
- a silver alloy with no more than 7.5% copper
- Silver of 921/2 percent purity
- Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of other metals, usually copper. The sterling silver standard has a minimum millesimal fineness of 925.

This was the third and trickiest of the three rings because the bristles go in both directions. The shank is of a medium gauge square wire. I wanted these pieces to look very modern, which is not usually my style. I am warming to it though.
This spines on this ring measure 2.875" from end to end and about .375" wide across the top.
Once the bristles were in place this piece reminded me most of a rowing shell. It also brought to mind the cover of Led Zeppelin Four-- with the old man carrying the load of sticks. But then I thought of insects (six legs) and the way the bristles moved had a distinctly dragonfly feel to it.
