The Workmen Fountain, a heroic-size bronze, granite and brick figurative fountain commemorates the employees of a public utility company. Placed in the lobby of their corporate headquarters, this fountain depicts two workers aggressively trying to close an 18" horizontal gate valve that appears to have burst through the floor. As the two men teeter precariously over the gaping pipe and gushing water, the viewer gains an appreciation for the strength and control of the workers as they make routine repairs.
