If we talk about Memo today, we talk about a living legend, we talk about versatility, passion, riskiness and above all elegance. He is, and always has been, ahead of the times.
Posssesing an impressive technique and an almost impossible style to classify, Memo is a master of scratch and turntablism and one of the most diverse and prolific djs Spain has to offer. With a wide range of musical styles and sounds, anything Memo touches, he becomes… whether it be techno, minimal, electro, tech house, breaks or Nu rave, electronic B boy funk or dancefloor destruction – Memo IS music. Starting out in 1992 when Spain was involved with the Olympic Games and the Expo92 conference, a 12 year old boy began playing the guitar and singing in a rap metal group which he did alongside his piano studies at the anterquera city music conservatory. It was around this time he had the desire to introduce electronic soundbites into his band compositions and Memo discovered and fell in love with scratching and the turntable – the true culprit for his introduction into the world of electronic beats. In 1994 Memo left the band to start his dj career in a time when Spain was experiencing its first southern rave wave. He took no time to gather a loyal following and around 15 monthly sets throughout the country where he rapidly toned his skills and techniques along with a visually amazing show. To see Memo live is to witness both a visually and auditory electronic odessey in motion. After 14 years in the industry, Memo should be considered as one of the major players on the scene and has passed through an infinity of booths and clubs in his native Spain and also abroad. He has clocked up three appearances at Space (Ibiza), one of them being at the highly renowned night of Carl Cox and each time playing live and alongside the likes of Derrick May and Adam Freeland. Other clubs have been, Privilege (Ibiza), Catwalk, Zen club, Moog, Kubik (Bcn), Industrial Copera, as well as various festivals: Esparragorock, F.I.M.E.S. festivalia, Eurosounds, Rocketfestival, TribalNation, Flashback, BreakNation, Live Dance Festival. Overseas, he has played at Stereo bar (Berlin), 54, Cafe 1001 and Public Life in London, PALAFITOS in the Domincan Republic, and SHAGA (Mexico). He has shared the line up with some of the world’s finest producers, djs and groups including Prodigy, Cristal method, Orbital, Public Enemy, Carl Cox, Ritchie Hawtin, Jeff Mills among many many others. On a production level, Memo’s creations have already found their way into the hearts and bags of world class artists such as Carl Cox. Currently Memo directs his own studio in Barcelona and a two headed label BOAYER and PornoSchool Records whose first release ‘12345678910’ in 2006 received critical aclaim from Alexander Kowalski who slotted the track in at number 1 on his charts. In the last couple of years he has edited for various labels such as 4line records, Digital Bonus, Subtronic, Nautral Break, and started this year with the e.p ‘Raices’ on Indigo Raw records – featured on Carl Cox’s Ibiza 2009 compilation CD. Remixes for Pig and Dan (Cocoon) and a remix for the Dylan Ryhmes tune ‘Kemptown’ on the mythical label LOT 49 and sharing disco with artists such as Meat Katie, Pablo Decoder and Sharoz…

"it's a small world," a gentle boat ride that's fun for little ones as well as Guests of all ages, is in the Fantasyland area in Magic Kingdom theme park.
Climb aboard and glide past nearly 300 brightly costumed dolls and animals as they sing "it's a small world" and dance on the shores of the Seven Seaways water canals that embrace this miniature globe.
Dressed in costumes that represent more than 100 nations, the dolls sing the "it's a small world" song lyrics in 5 languages. Boundaries dissolve and continents are connected by this singular song. After all, this attraction—first designed for the 1964 New York World's Fair—has Walt Disney's personal touch.
The Song Heard 'Round "it's a small world"
The original concept for "it's a small world" had the dolls singing the national anthem from each country they represented. A good idea in theory, but everyone singing a different tune resulted in a musical cacophony that clearly weakened the attraction's theme of harmony.
In the mid-1960s, Walt Disney interrupted staff composers Robert and Richard Sherman's work on the score for the upcoming Disney film, Mary Poppins, to write the single theme song for "it's a small world."
Robert and Richard Sherman's first version of the "it's a small world" song was written as a ballad. Walt requested something more cheerful, so the song was sped up and sung as a round, or roundelay.
Because of the repetition and because the Sherman Brothers used a musical technique called counterpoint, where the same chords are played over and over again but with different melodies, the song they wrote is catchy and unforgettable.
At the first presentation to Walt Disney, Robert and Richard Sherman performed "it's a small world" song while walking through a scale model of the attraction, singing and clapping their hands. Walt was delighted.
In full spirit of international unity, "it's a small world" song was recorded in various studios around the world. The song was sung by a church choir in London, TV performers in Mexico City, a school chorus in Rome, Italy, and by children from Tokyo, Japan and Burbank, California.
