  • A piston valve is a device used to control the motion of a fluid along a tube or pipe by means of the linear motion of a piston within a chamber or cylinder.

This is the cylinder - after said damage....

In Detail:
The #3 ex gasket was blown - thus letting cold air into the chamber (when engine was turned off) and the lattice of the metal in the valve was ruined, and the #3 ex valve head broke off, slammed the ex seat sideways, bashed up the cylinder, got stuck in between the #3intake valve and the piston and shoved the intake valve into the head, and thus breaking the #3 intake rocker arm literally in 2, bending the pushrod, AND exploding the lifter inside the case...
luckily, the case, crank, rods, were all undamaged.
