Kerman Persian Rug #44142 by Nazmiyal Collection
Kerman, Persia, circa 1900 A graceful design of flowering vines replete with palmettes and cloudbands unfolds with classic Persian elegance across the field of this exquisite antique Kerman. The pattern is so closely worked, that the deep navy ground appears as little more than an accenting silhouette for the soft mauve, cinnamon, and pale blue tones of the vines and floral details. The broad vinescroll border continues the soft palette of the field, providing a delicate framing contrast against the blue ground.
