Violin Beginner Books
- Beginner Books is the Random House imprint for young children, co-founded by Phyllis Cerf with Ted Geisel, more often known as Dr. Seuss, and his wife Helen Palmer Geisel.

This book is a cross from Elam's "Geometry of Design" and Olsen's "The Golden Section". However, Doczi only discuss about Proportional Harmonies in Nature, Art & Architecure. You won't find any discussion on design and layout in this book.
· Gunter Osterloh - Leica M | Advanced Photo School
This one is the ultimate Leica guide, filled with technical details on Leica M system. Osterloh was a product manager at E. Leitz Wetzler and Leica Camera AG for many years. He has written many books about Leica photography. Osterloh also directed the Leica Academy from 1993 to 2002. To understand and thereby really enjoy the Leica experience, this book is your best bet.
· Kimberly Elam - Geometry of Design: Studies in Proportion and Composition
Elam, head of the Department of Graphic and Interactive Communication at the Ringling School of Art and Design, Sarasota, Florida, provides information about Geometry of Design with detail overlayed diagrams in this book. Beautiful layout and useful information. You will find diagrams of Human Body Proportion in Ancient Sculpture, Drawing, Architectural Proportions, Contemporary Designs, Poster Layout, Paper Proportion in DIN System and many more. A good book to have if you're interested in using the Golden Mean in composition.
· Scott Olsen - The Golden Section: Nature's Greatest Secret
This book was written by one of the leading experts on the Golden Section. Dr. Olsen is also an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Central Florida Community College in Ocala, Florida. This is a compact introductory on ? (phi), also known by artists, musicsians, architects, designers as the Golden Ratio. The book is filled with beautiful illustrations but don't expect to find detail discussion from this book. It's a good book for beginners, though.
