BICYCLE HELMET MIRRORS

Today after the whole church-day, I got forced to learn how to ride a bike, [in a good way] by Mel and Shau(!)

I was full of excuses [genuine excuses may I add, like I didn't have my trainers with me, wasn't in the right clothes, I'm too heavy and might break Mel's new bike etc etc etc. Even made up the excuse of not learning with Mel's 9 year old cousin Rebecca was mocking me and scaring me that if I fall off the bike it'd really hurt, only to have Rachel the 13 year old cousin tell off her sister for discouraging me, a 22 year old who can't ride a bike(!)]
But despite all these valid reasons as to why I shouldn't learn, Mel was still determined to teach me how to ride. Shau helped later on too when she realised I really was helpless. And we found flatter ground further on down the cul-de-sac area.

Let's just say I'm all achey all over, and tomorrow I'll start bruising. I never fell off, but was so close to doing so.

And can I ride a bike now? No, I can't [but Mel and Shau swear I started to peddle on my own when they secretly let go of me!] It's so incredibly hard for me to find my balance on a bike. I have no such thing as balance!

Oh my days.

I regret telling them about the challenge someone had set for me recently, to learn a bike before September!!!! Mel and Shau are sooo determined that I'll learn how.

Sigh.

ps, I used my strobes today! But sadly the lil dude on the bike was added in on photoshop.... way after the actual main picture was taken... solly.

Life is about balance and I need to learn it. Today, I'll try. I had my first 12-hour sleep since November! it was awesome. i have a max of 6 hours of sleep everyday. that is awful. its a good start, i think, to live in balance. Rest. play. work. work and God. Work x2 for school papers and internship responsibilities. haha!
