BASSWOOD SHUTTERS

So we're heating the morning water at Pines Point. The mosquitoes here were aggressive and everywhere. The yellow bucket had my sister's mosquito-be-gone device sitting on it. It may or may not have had some minor effect on the bug population. It's difficult to tell.

We left the canopy off the tent (sitting behind the tent by the stump) because it was so hot, with the proviso that if it started to rain, the first person to notice had to scramble out and put the canopy on.

The blue cylinder sitting on the far end of the table bench is one of my collapsible buckets. I took two with us, and both sprung leaks before the trip was over. So we'd fill them up and leave them off to the side to leak in peace and not get everything wet.

These prams were still popular until well into the 1970s before collapsible buggies overtook them in popularity. With the rise of the motorcar, prams like this were no longer practical. I remember mum having one like this for my twin sisters (a canopy at each end of the pram).
