Calorie Counter California Roll
- The calorie is a pre-SI metric unit of energy. It was first defined by Nicolas Clement in 1824 as a unit of heat, entering French and English dictionaries between 1841 and 1867. In most fields its use is archaic, having been replaced by the SI unit of energy, the joule.
- Crab meat (or fake crab meat sticks), smelt or flying fish roe, avocado.
- Imitation or real crab meat, avocado, carrot, cucumber. Also done inside-out with flying fish eggs on the outside (Orange Roll).
- The California roll is a maki-zushi (roll), a kind of sushi roll, usually made inside-out, containing cucumber, imitation crab stick, and avocado. In some countries it is made with mango instead of avocado.

We tend to order the same things every time we go to Hamano for sushi, but it's usually plated differently each time. That makes me not feel so bad about posting another picture of California rolls.
