the second coming merino from bride flight studios 4 oz Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand; A shape with lion body and the head of a man, A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds. The darkness drops again but now I know That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born? If ever there were a visionary poet, and one who sought to become a channel through which a vision could manifest, it would be W.B. Yeats. Much of his work concerned itself with building a bridge between matter and spirit, and finding signposts along the road to that bridge that belong to the Spiritus Mundi, a close relative of Jung's collective unconscious. He is always looking for the symbol, in its most ancient sense, which can be found in the Greek root "symbolon"; an object broken into two parts, which want to be reunited into a single entity. Inspired by one of his more terrifying poems, a vision of the violence and aftermath of the first World War, and one that unfortunately remains timeless: scarlet, deep burgundy, blackened purple, orange, and sand. the oracle of delphi finn from bride flight studios 4 oz "Also known as the Pythia, the Oracle of Delphi was one of the elite priestesses of ancient Greece; almost always a noble and educated woman, she was chosen from among the priestesses of the temple of Apollo to become his voice on earth, renouncing all of her earthly commitments and pleasures. The oracle was also a woman with unusual power within patriarchal Greek society--she was free from taxation, able to own property and attend public events, and was paid and housed by the state in comfortable fashion. Her prophecy, interpreted by her attendant priests for the benefit of her many supplicants, was acknowledged as both authoritative and mysterious; the citizens of Greece traveled from far and wide to receive her answers. Inspired by Michelangelo's fresco of the Delphic Oracle, from the Sistine ceiling: terra-cotta, sandy orange, soft gold, grey-green, and blued lilac." Each engine is capable of producing 38,050 lbs of thrust with afterburner/re-heat. British and French aerospace companies collaborated to design and build 20 Concorde aircraft between 1966 and 1979. Flying with Air France and British Airways, the supersonic jets offered a luxurious and speedy trip across the Atlantic for 27 years. Capable of speeds over two times the speed of sound and at elevations up to 60,000 feet (18,290 m), the Concorde could fly from London to New York and return in the time it took a conventional aircraft to go one way. Flagging demand and rising operating expenses finally ended Concorde service -- symbolizing a lost era of luxury travel. The Museum's aircraft, registration code G-BOAG, is referred to as "Alpha Golf." It was first flown in April of 1978, and delivered to British Airways in 1980. Equipped with four powerful Rolls-Royce/SNECMA Olympus 593 Mk. 610 turbojet engines, the Alpha Golf logged more than 5,600 takeoffs and over 16,200 flight hours while in service. The Museum's aircraft made the last commercial Concorde flight, which took place on October 24, 2003. On its way to The Museum of Flight, the Alpha Golf set a New York City-to-Seattle speed record of 3 hours, 55 minutes, and 12 seconds. Lifted. (Flight. Series #01) (Best viewed LARGE) Big change from macro! For the past month I've been looking sideways, over, and under... trying to see small creatures and things in a bigger perspective. Yesterday I had a wonderful chance to view part of the world "wide angle", literally! It was exhilarating! A big change from macro, indeed! My soul was lifted. In the following days I'll be posting more photos I took during my flight with Steve. From up on 1,700 feet up and above. At least. It was quite hard to focus manually from up there (I hate air pockets!). Had to keep checking and changing my exposure bias plus had to be extra careful about not burning my eyes against that fireball of a sun. But, 'man, it was beautiful up there. Way better than peeking through windows of them big planes, 707s, Airbuses, 727s, 767s... Nothing compares. Me think. I'll start posting my "Flight" series very soon. My father, having a break while waiting for our flight.... This was taken this year somewhere at May. We were waiting for our flight to get back home from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA). Nothing much to say actually, i upload this picture so that i can add another picture to my Kodak Ultramax set. Honestly, the rumour about this film being grainy is true, no wonder some dislike this film, compare to the Fuji own Superia 400, Kodak Ultramax shows an inferior quality compare to Fuji. The sharpness is obviously lacking too, and the contrast seems to be high as well. _______________________________________________ Olympus OM-10, with 50mm Zuiko f/1.8 Film - Kodak Ultramax 400 Similar posts: last minute weekend airfare airline tickets to italy cheap air tickets to perth japan airlines international flights flight sim x service pack 2 flights venice to paris helicopter flight test flights to frankfurt international airline discount tickets flights to vancouver from toronto |

It is home to the New Jersey Nets NBA basketball team, and was also the home of the New Jersey Devils NHL hockey until 2007, when they moved to the Prudential Center in Newark. Official seating capacity as of 2004 is 19,040 for hockey; 20,029 for college basketball; 20,049 for NBA games; and a maximum 20,000 for concerts. The arena attracts spectators and fans from New Jersey and the entire New York Metropolitan Area. The Nets will be leaving the arena upon completion of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, will open in 2011 or later. Boeing Boeing poster We bought tickets at tkts to see this comedy. Bradley Whitford plays a successful businessman balancing 3 fiancees, all airline attendants, all thinking they're the only one. When a storm causes all their flights to be stuck in Paris, he has to balance 3 women expecting to spend the night at their home with him. A sassy French maid and an old college friend in town come to his aid (well, kinda sorta). I highly recommend this play! I could not stop laughing. the comedy is definitely over the top and exaggerated, but it works! Hole in the Rock Island on the Bay of Islands Boat Tour, New Zealand Cave in Hole in the Rock Island in the Bay of Islands. There is another deep cave on the other side of the island, and eventually, the two ends will meet due to oceanic erosion creating a new "Hole in the Rock." :) This was taken from our boat on our Bay of Islands boat tour. It was an awesome tour where we saw dolphins up close and RODE THROUGH HOLE IN THE ROCK on the boat. :) This was taken on Day 4 of our family trip to New Zealand & Australia. On this day we took an all-day motorcoach tour to the Bay of Islands and the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Our Trip Summary: Day 3 (June 15): Spent the day walking around Auckland. Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand with almost 1.4 million people, nearly ? of New Zealand's population. Day 4 ( June 16): All-day Motorcoach tour to Waitangi (pronounced why tang eee), and the Bay of Islands, where we went on a long boat ride. Day 5 (June 17): All-day Motorcoach tour to the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves (pronounced like why toe moe), and from there we went to an awesome and fun farm just outside of the city of Rotorua (population 68,000, named after Lake Rotorua, a lake formed from a volcanic caldera), and from there went to a Maori (pronounced Maw ree) reservation where we saw an aboriginal performance, and also went to the Rotorua Hot Springs. Day 6 (June 18): We took the Overlander passenger train from Auckland (on the north side of the North Island) to Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, on the south side of the North Island. The New Zealand rail gauge is 3 feet 6 inches (107.7 cm), which is 3/4 (or 75%) of the North American standard gauge. Day 7 (June 19): We spent the day in Wellington, going to a cool museum and riding on their steep cable car. New Zealand cities are very hilly (with very large hills), kind of like San Francisco. Day 8 (June 20): We took a ferry from Wellington, on the North Island to a small town called Picton, on the South Island, and then took the TranzCoastal train from Picton to Christchurch, New Zealand. Day 9 (June 21): We went skiing on Mount Hutt at Methaven, about 71 miles (115 km) outside of Christchurch. It was so fun!!! Day 10 (June 22): After touring the Christchurch Cathedral in the morning, we took a flight from Christchurch to Sydney, Australia. Day 11 (June 23): We spent the day around Sydney. We went to the aquarium, then in the afternoon, we took the SydneyLink electrified commuter rail train, with standard 4 foot 8? inch (143.5 inches) gauge to Mount Colah, Australia, where we ate at a friend's house. Day 12 (June 24): We took a coach tour to a nature center near Sydney, and from there went to the Blue Mountains where we rode the world's steepest railway and saw the Three Sisters. We then went back to Sydney Days 13 (Sydney to Los Angeles) and 14 (Los Angeles To St. Louis) were spent getting back home to the St. Louis area. 14 hour flights suck, and that's the only negative part about having to take an awesome trip like this (besides, of course, the cost, LOL :) Since my dad's a pilot, we got huge discounts on flights and hotels, so it was almost as cheap for us as it is for an average person to take a domestic flight on a domestic trip. :) DHC Skincare-5 day sample pack & lip cream Comes with a 30% discount coupon, to be used when you purchase the products within 7 days after buying these 5-day sample pack. Asia / India - Ladakh In present times, the only two land routes to Ladakh in use are from Srinagar and Manali. Travelers from Srinagar start their journey from Sonamarg, over the Zoji La pass (3,450 m, 11,320 ft) via Dras and Kargil (2,750 m, 9,022 ft) passing through Namika la (3,700 m, 12,140 ft) and Fatu la (4,100 m, 13,450 ft.) This has been the main traditional gateway to Ladakh since historical times. However, with the rise of militancy in Kashmir, the main corridor to the area has shifted from the Srinagar-Kargil-Leh route via Zoji la to the high altitude Manali-Leh Highway from Himachal Pradesh. The highway crosses four passes, Rohtang la (3,978 m, 13,050 ft), Baralacha la (4,892 m, 16,050 ft), Lungalacha la (5,059 m, 16,600 ft) and Taglang la (5,325 m, 17,470 ft), and is open only between July and mid-October when snow is cleared from the road. There is one airport in Leh, from which there are multiple daily flights to Delhi on Jet Airways, Air Deccan, and Indian, and weekly flights to Srinagar and Jammu. Flight The Masjid-i Jahan-Numa (Persian: ???? ???? ???, the 'World-reflecting Mosque'), commonly known as the Jama Masjid of Delhi, is the principal mosque of Old Delhi in India. Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal, and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is the largest and best-known mosque in India. The name Jahan-Numa comes from Persian meaning "World-reflecting". It lies at the origin of a very busy central street of Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk. UNHCR News Story: Yacht race veterans raise funds to help survivors of Gulf of Aden crossings Yacht race veterans raise funds to help survivors of Gulf of Aden crossings SABLES D'OLONNE, France, May 25 (UNHCR) – Some of the world's leading long-distance yacht sailors raised more than 2,000 euros at the weekend for the UN refugee agency's operations to help survivors of the perilous Gulf of Aden crossing from the Horn of Africa to Yemen. The sailors donated personal items to an auction held Saturday in the port resort of Sables D'Olonne on the sidelines of the prize-giving ceremony for the 2008-2009 Vendee Globe single-handed round-the-world yacht race, which started and ended here on France's Atlantic coast. Thirty skippers started the high seas marathon last November, but only 12 made it back to France, including two women and winner Michel Desjoyeaux, who took 84 days to circumnavigate the globe and retain his title. The French matelot donated a sailing jacket to the auction, which was bought for 400 euros by a girl called Murielle. "I came specially to buy Michel Desjoyeaux's jacket for my boyfriend," she said. Every competitor donated something, including Britain's Samantha Davies, who came an impressive fourth in her 60-foot vessel, Roxy. The 35-year-old donated a straw hat and sunglasses, while Unai Basurko, who failed to finish the race, gave his teapot. Marc Guillemot, who finished third gave his waterproof bag, which was bought by a Geneva-based UNHCR staff member and amateur sailor. Yannick Bestaven, who had a very short race, was the only Vendee Globe skipper to actually take part in the auction, selling several of his T-shirts, shirts and fleeces. "It's a good cause and if we can help by giving objects or clothing, then we do it with pleasure." A signed photo of Vincent Riou and fellow competitor Jean le Cam, whose rescue he went to near Cape Horn, attracted a lot of bids before selling for 125 euros. The auction of around 50 lots raised a total of 2,200 euros for UNHCR. Tens of thousands of people gathered in Sables d'Olonne and on its long beach at the weekend to celebrate the winners and to enjoy the marvellous weather and a spectacular fireworks display. Hundreds of them also visited a UNHCR display in the town's Centre des Congres about the risks that people from Somalia and Ethiopia, including refugees and internally displaced people, take to reach Yemen on smugglers' boats. Tens of thousands make the Gulf of Aden crossing each year, but hundreds die in the attempt from drowning or ill-treatment. A documentary by French journalist Daniel Grandclement, entitled "Martyrs of the Gulf of Aden," was also shown. The Vendee Globe competitors have a lot of respect, sympathy and concern for those who cross the dangerous Gulf in search of a better life. They say that they have it far easier in their sea-going vessels. By Sarah Gaston-Dreyfus/Katia Ruiz in Sables D'Olonne, France For more information on the Vendee Globe, go to: Vendee Globe John Neilson Institution In the remains of middle school, with top school in the background. My old school moved to new premises at the end of 1967. Top school, opened in 1852, which included the headmaster's office and twelve classrooms was later converted to apartments while middle school which was a mix of Victorian and post World War 2 buildings and comprised the dining hall, art rooms, science labs, gymnasia etc. was demolished. So too the clothing styles have changed, as I return to my old school clad in a modern man's skirt made of heavyweight carhardt material by Freedom Kilts. Forty years ago we all wore grey trousers to school, shorts till age 12 or 13, then longs, while the girls wore navy blue skirts, often accessorised with white lace petticoats. Today, while the girls now almost all wear trousers, these new interpretations of the kilt have become an option for mens wear, usually worn with thick socks and boots and with a flight jacket, bomber jacket, or similar style jacket which is elasticated at the waist. 3rd November, 2007. Airbus A380 The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine airliner manufactured by the European corporation Airbus, an EADS subsidiary. The largest passenger airliner in the world, the A380 made its maiden flight on 27 April 2005 from Toulouse, France, and made its first commercial flight on 25 October 2007 from Singapore to Sydney with Singapore Airlines. The aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX during much of its development phase, but the nickname Superjumbo has since become associated with it. The A380's upper deck extends along the entire length of the fuselage. This allows for a cabin with 50% more floor space than the next-largest airliner, the Boeing 747-400, and provides seating for 525 people in standard three-class configuration or up to 853 people in all economy class configuration. The A380 is offered in passenger and freighter versions. The A380-800, the passenger model, is the largest passenger airliner in the world, but has a shorter fuselage than the Airbus A340-600 which is Airbus' next biggest passenger aeroplane. The A380-800F, the freighter model, is offered as one of the largest freight aircraft, with a listed payload capacity exceeded only by the Antonov An-225. The A380-800 has a design range of 15,200 kilometres (8,200 nmi), sufficient to fly from New York to Hong Kong for example, and a cruising speed of Mach 0.85 (about 900 km/h or 560 mph at cruise altitude). Defiant anti-government protesters ignored orders of the Government to leave Bangkok's besieged airports and faced off with Thai police, raising fears of clashes as crippling anti-government demonstrations escalated. PAD protesters stormed Bangkok International Airport Suvarnabhumi on 26 December and put on halt all its operations, grounding all flights and creating havoc among passengers. More than 340,000 passengers is thought to have been stranded, while airport authorities have a mammoth task ahead to accommodate and screen priority passengers onto few emergency flights which are running from small navy airport remnant from Vietnam war era, south of Bangkok. Leaving the University Hotel , Bangkok, Thailand - 1967-68 " It's a dirty job, but someone must do it " Our best mission was flying the Bangkok-Shuttle twice around Thailand during our 18 hour duty day. Our schedule was 24 hours-on, and 24 hours-off, with one additional day-off each week. After living and flying there for 3 weeks, we were totally exhausted from flying long hours, touring and partying on the town. We would then return to CCK AB for a week, then fly 3-weeks in Vietnam. I got to fly that shuttle 3 or 4 times, but mostly flew 3 week missions in Vietnam out of CamRanh Bay AB or TuyHoa AB, with occasional short missions to Japan or Korea. Sanctuary And if you listen very hard the tune will come to you at last ------------------------------------------------------------------- The story here. I was in the midst of a painful breakup, and lots of stress at work. I was overloaded and decided that I needed time away, so I decided to spend some time alone. I picked up a last minute flight out to Seattle, Erik picked me up, and the next morning, he dropped me off in the Cascades about an hour east of Seattle. I'd picked out a hiking trail from a guide book late the night before. It was a 1 mile hike to the trail junction and other 3 mile trail to the top of the mountain. In the 3 mile hike, I climbed 4000 feet, reaching an altitude of 5630 feet. This took about 4 hours including lots of time for photos. I passed a hiker and his friendly dog heading down. He smiled and told me that I'd have the peak to myself. I saw no one else for the remainder of the evening. As I crossed the treeline into the alpine, I was greeted by flaming red flora and interspersed pines. I'd brought along Mason Jennings & Jolie Holland lyrics to sing to myself, but I only had 2 random lines stuck in my head from "Stairway to Heaven." I hadn't listened to this song for many months. And if you listen very hard The tune will come to you at last. I now knew why monks build monasteries on the tops of mountains, "and it made me wonder" if Robert Plant was doing the same thing I was when he put pen to paper. Irony how the thin air was deep breaths for the soul. As I reached the peak, clouds were streaking across the sky at high speed...visibility was low, but I was able to make out some alpine lakes in the backcountry. I could see down, but no longer across the canyon. It was getting dark, and I setup camp at 5300 feet. Campfires were not allowed at that altitude, but it didn't matter, because everything was wet anyways. I was making dinner over my stove, when I heard a noise behind me. I spun around to see a mule deer not 20 paces away, walking around like nothing was going on. It didn't seem very impressed or scared by me. This made my wonder what business he had up here, and perhaps a bear would too. At about 8pm, it was getting dark, and I called it a night. I woke up in the middle of the night, and I felt something cold & wet on my face. It was ice. I reached out of my sleeping bag to discover that my breathe was condensing on the outside of my sleeping bag and freezing . Wow. It was cold, but I was comfortable in my bag. In the morning, I woke up, thinking that I need to pull down camp and get going, but it was beautiful out. The morning of Saturday the 13th, I climbed the 300 feet back to the peak and saw an awesome sight.(which can be seen in a different photo in my stream) Beyond ridge after smoky ridge was Mount Rainier......reaching from the horizon for the heavens. Even Mt St. Helens was visible (from Oregon) The sky was crystal clear, and clouds were blanketing the valley thousands of feet below. I was sharing this view with no one else. I sat in awe on the frosty rocks until most of my extremities were numb from the cold, and headed back to camp. Last minute? As we waited for our flight... we realized it might be a good idea to try and book a hostel... the one we chose was based on the best directions I have ever read: 1. Take the metro from the airport to Asakusa station. 2. Take the exit A4 at Asakusa station and turn right. 3. Turn left at the first corner and walk one block. 4. You will see a large red wooden gate (Kaminarimon gate) on the other side of the street. Cross the street and walk through the gate. 5. Walk straigt down the market street (Nakamise-dori street) and through another red gate. You will reach Sensoji temple. 6. When you hit the Sensoji temple, turn left and find an amusement park with a tall tower (Hanayashiki amusement park). 7. Go to the left side of the temple and find a small brige. 8. Cross the bridge and head straight. You see the amusement park entrance on your right. 9. Pass the entrance and follow the road straight, keeping the amusement park on your right. 10. Take a hard right at the corner, still keeping the park to your right. Walk down the narrow street and you will see Sakura Hostel --- a large pink building.
