B-Movie is a DVD released by MxPx in 2004. It is a combination of live concert footage and a documentary of the band. The concert footage is culled from a 3-night stint in late 2003 at El Corazon in Seattle (at the time, still called The Graceland).

B-Movie were a futurist band from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England UK, active in the first half of the 1980s. They were signed to the Some Bizzare record label and had a track 'Moles' featured on the original Some Bizzare Album.

Do you think if five black suit man from EU or any other western country along with few Asian leaders sit down and talk about it in a wonderful A/C room and spend the few days on BAR and relaxing after the climatic change meeting, we are going to Solve or reduce this risk?

NO!! if that was a possibility then by now we would have solved this and have moved on. Because continuously we see them doing this and spending heavy amount of money earned by locals of those representing countries and still nothing is been done.

As I say this and blame it on them, I should also know that if I wanted – I wouldn’t be in this place and in this near to death or going to die experience. If I have lifted myself up from that comfort seat and if I had tried to make a difference, then perhaps there would be one more addition to the fight against climate change.

The man in shorts – knew it and before him the others who were with me and let it go!! Knew it and even talked about it but as if it was a movie they watched and with the hype and it died off.

This is not something we don’t know, this is something we know and four to five person cannot change this, this could be changed by uniting and standing together and moving ahead and with ONE VOICE and ONE ACTION and ONE MOVEMENT.

James vs. the B Movie Monsters

The tOkKa-inspired piece I've been tellin' y'all about, which, after much delay, is finally finished. It has to do with two things that represent me: the fact that I like B movies and the fact that I'm a conservative. Yes, that's me in the black MST3K shirt and blue jeans in the illustration. I'm the only one with the gun, as you can see, because I don't believe in strict gun control and/or the Second Amendment being revoked. The B movie monsters represent liberals that are either stuck-up or so consumed with their own media that they won't give McCain a chance. I guess the monsters could have names if you wanted to be creative: Square Steve, Triangle Ted, Hodgepodge Hank, Oval Oswald, and Circle Clyde. So yeah, basically a political commentary on how I feel about liberals.

The original idea for this wasn't a political one, but a B movie/MST3K-focused one more or less. Still would've tOkKa-inspired but regarded quite differently. I figured since Halloween and the election is coming up, I'd kill two birds with one stone. The former having to do with B movies.

I just wanted to express how I currently feel and have done so in a very unusual as well as creative way.

First time I've used watercolors in years by the way.

T-Shirt Designs - Emerge (v.1-4)

T-Shirt designs for a student ministry called, Emerge, out of Ohio. These are intended for general use, and to promote the ministry. The "emerge" with three bars "|||" is there logo.

At 24 weeks, I was in dying need of new t-shirts. I was lucky enough to have "prototypes" of pattern 2805, our latest t-shirt pattern. One pattern, different styles: v neck, jewel neck, overlapped v-neck with decorative buttons (white on white, you can't see them on the picture) and mock turtleneck (the picture was not great so I didn't post it. My favorite sleeve lengths are cap and 3/4 sleeves, but short and long sleeve options are also included in the pattern. I'm still not using my "real measurement" size with very stretchy fabrics. I only went up one size because I didn't want the shoulders to be too big. I lengthened all t-shirts by 2 1/2'' as usual to make sure they cover the pants waistband. 33-week update: still wearing the purple and green tops :)

A 24 semaines, j'avais desesperement besoin de nouveaux t-shirts! J'ai eu la chance de pouvoir tester des prototypes (modifies bien sur) du patron 2805 de notre derniere collection. Un patron, plusieurs modeles: encolure ronde, en V, en V boutonnee (boutons blanc sur bande blanche sur la photo) et col cheminee (je n'ai pas de photo de celui-la). Mes longueurs de manche preferees sont le mancheron et la manche trois-quarts (sur les photos), mais les options manche courte et longues sont disponibles sur le patron. Pour tous ces t-shirts, j'ai seulement pris une taille plus grande que ma taille "avant grossesse" pour eviter que ce soit trop grand aux epaules. Tous sont allonges de 6 cm pour m'assurer que ca couvre la bande elastique de mes pantalons de maternite. A 33 semaines: Je porte toujours les t-shirts violet et vert. Le bleu etant moins extensible, il est un peu trop moulant maintenant :)

no sex pistols at the high museum of art!

Dad and I rode the marta here. This was from the same trip in the Trooper - on our epic drive from Upstate New York to Atlanta, Georgia with no a/c. This was one of the places I picked to go. Unfortunately, Dad didn't see me put on the Sex Pistols t-shirt I borrowed for the trip from my friend, Courtney Papa, until we reached the museum. When Dad saw it, he dragged me all the way back to the motel to change my shirt.

another warm saturday! it makes me want to spring clean. i walked all the way up clark street to vote for our ward's budget, but was turned away at the door. aparently i live on the wrong side of the street from the 49th ward. oh well. at least the guys with the ice cream carts are out! i am so excited to live on clark in the summer. it seems like such a neighborhoody place. it's too bad we don't have stoops. it seems like a total stoop kind of place. and there are not one but TWO paletarias! both la polar and la monarca. my paleta is coconut flavored and it the guy's cart was a monarca one. i am also addicited to having a corner store again. i remember being sent to joes as a kid to get missing ingredients for things. now lisa! has to send me. someday we'll send our kids to get milk or ice cream (sometimes a necessary staple) at S&S foods- although they'll have to be much older to cross clark without a light by themselves. i'll probably make them walk down to the next block where there is one. or just watch out the living room window. and yes, i do eat more than just popcicles. it's the shirt making me look gaunt, i'm not nearly that skinny. and yes, washing the filthy table is on my list of things to do tomorrow, thanks for reminding me.

The Pink House

If you've visited Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard and walked the neighborhoods then there is no doubt you've seen this house. My late grandparents owned a house for many, many, many, many years a few blocks away. As a kid, I spent several family vacations on the vineyard, clamming, playing on the beach, fishing off bridges, riding the carousel downtown, eating ice cream from Mad Martha's, sporting the famous black dog t-shirt, going to the tabernacle to watch my grandmother play the organ, sit on the front stoops of the house shucking corn while my grandmother dropped lobster into pots of boiling water and of course, walking past the pink house and wondering....

Here I am with my brother, Tore. The only pic I have of the house and looking at it makes the memories of my childhood come flooding back so fast I can hardly stand it.

So probably that's oats field? we are surronded by now...

As photo says this is an imported oat from thousands of miles away, and there are oats? field around me - just in probably half a mile away.

And if I'm going to eat oatmeal - this imported oatmeal, from Ireland - is the only kind of oatmeal I can eat around here. I know it's a kind of problem - it's only 50 or 80 cents difference - but still America is not making money in exporting, rather losing money importing all sorts of stuff today (with credit purchase, and that credit maynot be really even backed by Americans...even...? - it probably depends on where you see where it ends those credit backing and purchase... it can be like snake eating its tail?...)

Still, only oat meal I can stomach - has to come from Ireland. Why? It's simply because of packaging and contamination - or spoiling. Local groceries carry 'American' oatmeals but they come in basically paperbox.

Then the problem is these days, people don't care about spraying their Windex or lemon scented spray foams around those packages... then the result is oatmeal only smelling and tasting like Windex or cleaning spray. This McCann's oatmeal comes in plastic film bag - and that protects inside becoming smelling like shelf cleaners. Somehow, much of the oatmeal made in USA comes only in paper box kind of one layer only packaging.

Then what about our local organic food store's bulk section? They clean casing with something like Citrasolve - citrus oil based cleaner - and they don't rinse it - so anything in the bulk section only smells like 'we are all scented with something very different and wrong.'

And this is a part of the theme - ? Americans and scents? (which that BBC journalist John Simpson wrote a bit of funny episode in his book) - and after 70s or so, those 'chemicals' came around in sprays and bottles (Pinesol etc) - and probably today, American people smell worse or stronger than those Tide coated pork chops or Windex covered sliced cheese, or cleaning spray smelling oats and rice.

+And this is connected with Herbivore and Apple and Deermouse. How tee - how t-shirts, cotton smells - and how it gets ruined and never cared about etc. I can check each sent packaging of American Apparel and document it too. True.

Mr Creosote's nephew was visiting Mexico City for a parade on Reforma. He was conveniently located near the ice cream vendor. His shirt is stretched so tight his belly button dimple is visible!

I enjoyed this place a lot. Rooms filled with arcade machines from my childhood brought back some good memories.
The setup was a really heavy and dirty job but it was really fun to see this bizarre arcade hall take form.
I think we all stood with a smile on our face when we looked at our creation.

It’s Beginning to Feel A lot Like Christmas (my annual rant)

When did Halloween become the new Christmas? When I was kid, we dressed up one time – on Halloween night, and went trick or treating in our neighborhood. Now it seems like the entire month of October is dedicated to a frenzy of activities. There are fall festivals, corn mazes, and haunted houses. Trick or treat at the mall, the book store, or even the grocery store. You can even “trunk or treat” – which involves going to a church parking lot where people are handing out candy from their trunk. No need for careful maneuvering up and down porch steps in your costume, no working up a sweat as you run the distance between each house, no suspense as to whether or not a dimly lit house is really passing out candy. Just walk from trunk to trunk and the candy is yours for the taking.

And it doesn’t stop with just kids. This season, I was invited to three adult-only Halloween parties and also had the opportunity to dress up for a costume contest (and perform a skit) at work. It’s enough to make a person wonder if we’ve forgotten the real meaning behind Halloween.

When I found out my better half would be out of town for most of October (including the “big” night), I decided a strict, strategic plan was in order for my two boys. We would keep things simple. A few decorations. A quick trip to the pumpkin patch. And finally, trick or treating in our neighborhood Halloween night. Costumes assembled for the boys only. No participation in the work contest. And, I would decline the adult-only party invitations.
I would remember the reason for the season.

In my effort to keep things low-key, I decided to schedule the boys’ flu shots for the afternoon of the 31st. Who makes their kids get flu shots on Halloween? My thoughts exactly. I figured we’d waltz in, get the shots, and waltz right out. The kids would be so focused on the excitement of the day; they would barely notice the injection. I was confident in my plans. But you know what they say, “We plan. God laughs.”

The month passed quickly and before I knew it, Halloween day arrived. The kids were excited. They knew the plans because I’d been chanting them for days. Pick you up early, flu shots, trick or treating, dinner. But when I picked them up, my younger child asked, “So … we’re going to the doctor to check my ears, right?”

Fighting the tidal wave of panic, I chirped, “Oh, we’re going to get you a little … thing, to make sure you don’t get sick.”

Aaron cut to the chase. “It’s a shot, Troy. We’re both getting shots today. On Halloween.”

I forced that peppy voice parents foolishly think works. “Yeah, but we’ll be in and out. You won’t even notice you were there.”

Aaron was not placated. “Who gets a flu shot on Halloween?”

Apparently, a whole lot of people. The waiting area was standing room only. Parents stood with arms folded across their chests muttering, “We didn’t think anybody would be here.”

I ended up sitting next to a mom dressed in a sheep costume. She had taken a pair of white yoga pants and a white long-sleeved shirt and hot glued white puff balls around the cuffs. There were layers and layers of these puff balls in varying sizes. She looked hot -- and I don’t mean in a good way.

A little girl, about nine, who was seated in the middle of the floor near my own children turned and began to stare at the costumed lady. The woman turned to me and huffily said, “I didn’t think we’d see anyone here. I mean, who gets shots on Halloween? I wore this costume to work today. My boss was Little Boy Peep and we were the sheep.” I gave a polite nod.

The little girl said, “You’re a sheep? You don’t look like a sheep. You look like a bunny.”

At this point, all eyes turned to Sheep Lady – enjoying this interesting turn of events. The Sheep Lady sat up straighter and sniffed, “Well, I am a sheep. See? I even have a bell around my neck and look at my ears – they’re pointy.”

The girl was clearly someone who knows from sheep and bunny rabbits and she sure as heck knows from Halloween costumes. She was honestly perplexed and concerned that a person, a grown up no less, could get something so wrong. And she was completely comfortable speaking her mind without the paranoid turnaround that older girls and women suffer from (where they feel compelled to add, “Just kidding,” or “No offense” to the end of everything they say).

This girl held her gaze and finally said, “Yeah, maybe. But you don’t look like a sheep. I didn’t know you were even wearing a costume until you said something,” she paused and in perfect Tim Gunn form, said, “So you just … glued … that stuff to some regular clothes?”

Why the woman continued talking is beyond me. “Well, yes. I mean, no. I didn’t actually glue them. Someone at work did. We all wanted them to look alike so-”

The girl broke in, “And those ears. Did they make the ears, too? They don’t look right. You just … don’t … look like a sheep.”

I was so excited to find a sewing project that I could reuse old clothing for. Crafster user cheytown showed a project how to make a men's dress shirt into a cute toddler dress. It was fun and interesting dissecting the shirt and then making a dress.. The great part was, is that alot of the sewing was done for me. The back has buttons which makes for easy open and shut. I can't wait for my girl to wear it!

I went to a little boutique after work that I've been wanted to check out called Luv Unlimited. I found out that you can make t-shirt there with the selection of iron-ons they had. Well who could resist this bad-ass shark? I know I couldn't! They also had tons on vintage there and I picked up a cute 60s wallet too. Another store nearby was called Tip Top Atomic shop. Yeah, I know, right! tns of kitchy vintage stuff in there too where I ended up buying a cute luggage case and an atomic print sundress. Good scores today :)
