So probably that's oats field? we are surronded by now...

As photo says this is an imported oat from thousands of miles away, and there are oats? field around me - just in probably half a mile away.

And if I'm going to eat oatmeal - this imported oatmeal, from Ireland - is the only kind of oatmeal I can eat around here. I know it's a kind of problem - it's only 50 or 80 cents difference - but still America is not making money in exporting, rather losing money importing all sorts of stuff today (with credit purchase, and that credit maynot be really even backed by Americans...even...? - it probably depends on where you see where it ends those credit backing and purchase... it can be like snake eating its tail?...)

Still, only oat meal I can stomach - has to come from Ireland. Why? It's simply because of packaging and contamination - or spoiling. Local groceries carry 'American' oatmeals but they come in basically paperbox.

Then the problem is these days, people don't care about spraying their Windex or lemon scented spray foams around those packages... then the result is oatmeal only smelling and tasting like Windex or cleaning spray. This McCann's oatmeal comes in plastic film bag - and that protects inside becoming smelling like shelf cleaners. Somehow, much of the oatmeal made in USA comes only in paper box kind of one layer only packaging.

Then what about our local organic food store's bulk section? They clean casing with something like Citrasolve - citrus oil based cleaner - and they don't rinse it - so anything in the bulk section only smells like 'we are all scented with something very different and wrong.'

And this is a part of the theme - ? Americans and scents? (which that BBC journalist John Simpson wrote a bit of funny episode in his book) - and after 70s or so, those 'chemicals' came around in sprays and bottles (Pinesol etc) - and probably today, American people smell worse or stronger than those Tide coated pork chops or Windex covered sliced cheese, or cleaning spray smelling oats and rice.

Mr Creosote's nephew was visiting Mexico City for a parade on Reforma. He was conveniently located near the ice cream vendor. His shirt is stretched so tight his belly button dimple is visible!

Title inspired by the 1976 song of the same name by LA DJ Rick Dees about "Elvis Presley" exploding from eating too many jelly donuts. "I hope I don't rip my jeans".

A further irrelevant detail: JFK's famous statement made in Berlin "Ich bin ein Berliner" actually means "I am a sugar coated jelly donut", not "I am a citizen of Berlin".
