ATLANTIS HOTEL RATES - ATLANTIS HOTEL
ATLANTIS HOTEL RATES - BUSINESS DISTRICT HOTELS - SUNSET BAY INN. Atlantis Hotel Rates
Atlantis Paradise Hotel Yup, this is where I stayed. This hotel is 5 stars from the outside, 1 star service on the inside. I was so excited when I learned that I was going to be staying at this renown resort. The rooms at the Royal Tower where I was in, were $550 USD per night (we paid $390 for a conference rate). Expecting everything to be in top-notch shape, imagine my surprise when I walked into my room, to blanket covers with holes, paper-thin walls and a TV that wasn't working. It took me 2 days to finally get someone to fix my television. I will spare details, but my blood boiled and I was actually very unpleasant to the people at guest services. This is what I have come to learn about the staff at the hotel: no one wants to take responsibility, everyone has a nonchalant standoffish attitude, no one cares that the guests are pissed off, and you have to ask 20 people for the same thing before someone will finally take care of it for you. However, to be fair, the grounds of the hotel are quite spectacular. The aquarium there is gigantic and filled with lots of exotic and tropical fishes. My suggestion is that if you ever visit Nassau, stay somewhere else, but come and tour the grounds of Atlantis. The rooms are definitely NOT worth the rate that is charged. Service and food are both sub-par (though, there is a NOBU inside the casino). However, if you don't run into anything that requires service, then I suppose it was decent. More photos of this lovely place to come... Atlantis Lifts Off Thu, 14 May 2010 23:00:00 -0500 Space shuttle Atlantis lifted off from Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on the STS-132 mission to the International Space Station at 2:20 p.m. EDT on May 14. The third of five shuttle missions planned for 2010, this was the last planned launch for Atlantis. The Russian-built Mini Research Module-1, also known as Rassvet, or "dawn," will be delivered and it will provide additional storage space and a new docking port for Russian Soyuz and Progress spacecraft. The laboratory will be attached to the bottom port of the station's Zarya module. The mission's three spacewalks will focus on storing spare components outside the station, including six batteries, a communications antenna and parts for the Canadian Dextre robotic arm.
