valve servicing The valve cover is clearly leaking oil, so it will be replaced. The leaking gasket may be the culprit that started the noisy hydraulic valve lifters in the first place, because the lifters need a constant supply of oil to function correctly. The valves are making noise on this truck. In the past you would clearly need a valve clearance adjustment. However, this engine is equiped with hydraulic valve lifters which require no adjustment and zero clearance. Somehow there is noise coming from the rocker cover assembly and something needs to be fixed in here. I did the easiest part: removing the cover, but finding out where to proceed from here will be a little tricky. valve servicing The valves are making noise on this truck.
