I've switch it over to a 24 gram 3000kv out runner on 2s 1000 li-poly batteries. Two 5 gram servos for control and a Plush 12amp ESC powers the motor. The Mirage will go straight up and weights less than 8oz flying. Cube Steak & Oven Fries for Lunch (12/15/07) Breaded Cube Steak 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 cup dry bread crumbs 1 tbs dried oregano 2 tsps ground cumin 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp ground black pepper 2 large eggs, beaten 4 (4oz) cube steaks 1 lemon cut into wedges Mix together the bread crumbs, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper. Dip each steak into the egg wash, then into the bread crumbs. Shake off excess bread crumbs. Let steaks set for a few minutes before cooking to allow the coating to set. Heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the steaks and cook until done, about 5 minutes per side. Serve with the lemon wedges. I only used about half (2 tbs) the amount of oil. I didn't have a lemon, but I do think it would add to the flavor. Oven Fries 3 large red potatoes 1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 cup Italian salad dressing, divided 1/2 cup grated Parmesean cheese, divided Preheat broiler. Cut unpeeled potatoes into wedges. Arrange in a microwave-safe baking dish. Microwave on hight until tender, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with pepper. Line a baking sheet with foil. Spray with cooking spray. Place the potatoes on the baking sheet. Brush 1/4 cup of the salad dressing on the potatoes and sprinkle with 1/4 cup Parmesan. Broil until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Turn the potatoes over. Brush with the remaining dressing; sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan. Broil until brown, about another 2 minutes. This works well with most salad dressings. This time I used a low-fat sesame ginger dressing. If using a creamy dressing, use 1/4 cup of dressing and 1/4 cup of milk. Signs of Spring Ewer Cruet Soap Bottle Honestly, I'm not quite sure what to call this because it can have many functions. Works perfectly for olive oil, vinegar or soy sauce as well as a multitude of other sauces that you like to have handy. It can also be used as a soap bottle to disguise your dish soap (no more ugly plastic bottle, yay!). Of course it is food safe, and can be put in the refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. You'll just want to remove the cork before washing. The inspiration for this piece came as I was admiring the signs of spring around me. I have 8 proud Bradford Pear Trees along my drive that put on a magnificent show of white blossoms before most of the other trees even start to wake up! When the Pears were starting their little cluster of buds I felt the urge to impress their lovely texture into wet clay, saving it forever. And so, I snipped a few small branches and into the studio I went. I pressed the clusters and their adjacent branches into this bottle firmly, giving the form new life and a wonderful organic shape. When the piece firmed up a bit, I accentuated the buds by carving where they left their impression. And so, a sign of spring was captured in clay forever! The color of this piece is what I like to refer to as "Woodsy Pistachio". It's very light, almost sage green that breaks into a wonderful earthy brown. The clay is a lightly speckled stoneware, and adds it's own subtle colors to the appearance of the glaze. Height: 4.5" (11.4cm) Width: 3" (7.6cm) Perfectly holds 8oz (236ml) See my profile for link. NUNAVUT, CANADA FUTURE PROPOSED SAMPLE license plate I recently received this sample plate prototype one of three proposed types for the Canadian territory of Nunavut. Since 1999 when Nunavut became a territory carved out of the Northwest Territories they have used the same style of plates as them. Well Nunavut wants to go it alone with their own license plates. Of the three prototypes released to the public this is the most likely choice. This plate has some intersting features. 1. This plate will feature for the first time in Canada and probably in the USA an aboriginal person on it's plates in this case an eskimo or Inuit as they are properly referred too. 2. For the first time the Nunavut license plates will feature the legend "OUR LAND" in the Inuit language. 3. A double slogan plate with the legend in red " CANADA'S ARCTIC" 4. Slogan of "OUR LAND" bilingual in English and Inuit. 5. if this style is accepted which I believe it will it will be Canada's first "flat" graphic general issue. A first for the first issue. According to government sources in Nunavut this will be the choice for Nunavut license plates to debut in 2009 or 2010 at the latest. This plate fully graphic colored mostly black on light blue is the most likely choice for an original license plate from Canada's 13th jurisdiction. (11) The most expensive poor mans casserole ever (see recipe below, if you dare mwuhahaha) This is a vegetarian recipe, but you vegans are creative types. Figure out the substitute for yourself. It will be like an awesome mind puzzle.... This casserole was made up by my favorite cook, Matt. You will need: -1 lb Egg noodles -1 8oz pkg of Chick'n Strips or strip your own Chick'n, you decide. -2 10.5 oz cans of cream of mushroom soup -16 package of frozen peas and carrots mix -1/2 lbs of fresh crimini mushrooms (delicious but optional) -16 oz bag of shredded cheddar -1 12.5 oz bag of cheddar and sour cream chips. (no this whole bag is NOT going into casserole, so if you have a little less, its cool) Preheat oven to 400 degrees 1. Prepare Egg noodles according to package directions. This involves quite a bit of boiling and straining, so please be prepared. 2. On another burner, but at the same time please warm up the chick'n strips until they are limp (aka no longer frozen) 3. Cut the chick'n strips into smaller pieces, set aside. 4. Chop up fresh mushrooms to desired sizes, I like multiple sizes because i'm not a very consistent cutter. set those aside with the strips, even on top of the strips if you wish. It would be hot, no? 5. Thaw your peas and carrot mix. I don't dig on microwaves so I just ran some hot water over the mix in a strainer until they were not cold any longer. You can microwave to thaw if you wish, you mutant freak, you. No judgement! 6. Grease up a 13x9 pan using some PAM or your favorite food lube. 7. Dump cooked noodles, pea and carrot mix, soup, mushrooms, chick'n and half a pack of cheddar into pan and mix thoroughly 8. Take 4 handfuls of the chips and put them in a baggie or a large bowl and smoosh the living crap out of them. It is fun! Also, I heard that Paris was born a man. 9. Evenly apply the other half package of cheddar over the casserole 10. Evenly apply the busted up chips over the cheese 11. Bake for 30 minutes or before the potato chip crust burns 12. Crack open a Hamms or other disgusting brew of choice and revel in what a pretend piece of white trash you are! Enjoy! Carousel This is a Philadelphia Toboggan Factory Carousel, built in 1922 and housed in the Looff Hippodrome (built in 1916) on Santa Monica Pier, California. It has 44 original hand carved and painted horses which were restored in 1990. This is the carousel featured in the movie "The Sting" starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford.
