CHEAP ROOSTER DECOR - MOROCCAN PARTY DECORATIONS Cheap Rooster Decor
Sunday Dinner I really like wine;-) I am not a wine conisour( wine snob)though...., I like cheap, really cheap. I do have a problem of buying bottles because I like the way they look. I like to use them as vases. Red Truck, Red Rooster and now, Turn Me Red. This one will match my 1940's kitchen decor just fine;-) This is what the back of the bottle says: " Our eyes met, is it the wine that turned my cheeks so red... or something else? How could a wine so honest and straightforward be so seductive? The moment it touches your lips, you'll know. You've never had a red like this before." ;-) ENGLISH ROOSTER This English rooster, with lots of attitude, put on a show as soon as I approached with my camera; in the small town of Ryther, England. Green Czech Lusterware Ashtray Dish Porcelain Vintage Shabby Czechoslovakia The luster glaze on this pretty vintage porcelain ashtray is a beautiful shade of green with a soft, lustrous shimmer. A sweet little accent for a shabby chic or Victorian decor. About Lusterware ... Lusterware refers to a type of pottery or porcelain that's been treated with a metallic overglaze containing copper, silver and other metallic oxides to create an iridescent, lustrous effect that's exquisite. Description ... A band of green lustered glaze decorates the inside wall of the ashtray and extends to the top decorative edge where it's topped with gold. There are three gilded cigarette rests as well. A colorful scene of three ladies with a ribbon or scarf decorates the white center. The outside of the ashtray is glazed white, as is the center underneath the decorative image. The bottom is marked 'Made in Czeckoslovakia'. I think it would be fun to collect more vintage porcelain ashtrays for a unique set of coasters. I could also imagine it adding a romantic, vintage touch to a powder room by using it as a dish to hold a pretty bar of soap or as a coaster for a water glass. Bayberry Soap This soap is scented with classic bayberry. It's a combination of bayberry, lavender, fir needle, clove and camphor melded into a balsam base. The bar is yellow and green and topped with poppyseeds. Bayberry is a unisex scent making it suitable for both men and women. It is strongly scented so you are left with a light fragrance on your skin afterward. The soap rinses cleanly away and is all natural except for the fragrance and color. Vegan. Each bar weighs 4oz. - 4.5oz. All of my soaps are rich in moisturizing oils and butters for happier, healthier skin. You're sure to love the thick, creamy lather of my soaps so much, that you'll be back for more before you know it! This bar is particularly wonderful for shaving. Also works well as a facial soap and even a shampoo bar. Ingredients: olive oil, coconut oil, distilled water, palm oil, sodium hydroxide, rice bran oil, shea butter, fragrance, poppyseeds, and color. Ralinho como so a Impala sabe fazer. The Large old pottery pitcher and creamer , were passed down by my great, great, great, grandmother Elizabeth. Dating these to around 1850. They look great against the chippy green paint inside my stepback. Made with Love Here are some of my antique quilts. The one on the left, was a yard sale find..the family didnt want it anymore, its in rough shape, but it still deserved to be loved. Wall Decoration: Colorado Springs, Colorado (CO) My wife and I wanted to put some ceramic lizards on our living room wall. The ones for sale in the stores on West Colorado Avenue here in the Springs (or in Taos or Santa Fe) were too expensive. So I decided to make some myself using a polymer clay called Super Sculpey and acrylic paints. The chief virtue of Super Sculpey is that it can be baked in an oven (225 degrees for 15 minutes, for each quarter-inch of thickness.) This is the first lizard I made. Its skin pattern (but not its color) is loosely based on a Gila monster's. Wall Decoration: Colorado Springs, Colorado (CO) My wife and I wanted to put some ceramic lizards on our living room wall. The Happiness Project: Or, Why I Spent a Year Trying to Sing in the Morning, Clean My Closets, Fight Right, Read Aristotle, and Generally Have More Fun Gretchen Rubin had an epiphany one rainy afternoon in the unlikeliest of places: a city bus. "The days are long, but the years are short," she realized. "Time is passing, and I'm not focusing enough on the things that really matter." In that moment, she decided to dedicate a year to her happiness project. In this lively and compelling account of that year, Rubin carves out her place alongside the authors of bestselling memoirs such as Julie and Julia, The Year of Living Biblically, and Eat, Pray, Love. With humor and insight, she chronicles her adventures during the twelve months she spent test-driving the wisdom of the ages, current scientific research, and lessons from popular culture about how to be happier. Rubin didn't have the option to uproot herself, nor did she really want to; instead she focused on improving her life as it was. Each month she tackled a new set of resolutions: give proofs of love, ask for help, find more fun, keep a gratitude notebook, forget about results. She immersed herself in principles set forth by all manner of experts, from Epicurus to Thoreau to Oprah to Martin Seligman to the Dalai Lama to see what worked for her—and what didn't. Her conclusions are sometimes surprising—she finds that money can buy happiness, when spent wisely; that novelty and challenge are powerful sources of happiness; that "treating" yourself can make you feel worse; that venting bad feelings doesn't relieve them; that the very smallest of changes can make the biggest difference—and they range from the practical to the profound. Written with charm and wit, The Happiness Project is illuminating yet entertaining, thought-provoking yet compulsively readable. Gretchen Rubin's passion for her subject jumps off the page, and reading just a few chapters of this book will inspire you to start your own happiness project. KiMo Theatre, Historic Route 66, 423 Central Avenue Northwest, Albuquerque, NM, built 1927, style: Pueblo Deco The KiMo Theatre opened in 1927, fulfilling Albuquerque merchants Oreste and Maria Bachechi's dream of providing an opulent movie palace based on southwestern design themes. The Pueblo Deco showcase was designed by Carl Boller of Boller Brothers, a Kansas City architectural firm active in movie-house design throughout the west during Hollywood's early days of popularity. Isleta pueblo Governor Pablo Abeita won $500 for suggesting the name, which means "king of its kind." Construction cost $150,000, with an additional $18,000 to provide a Wurlitzer organ to accompany the silent movies. Construction was completed in less than a year. A luncheonette and a gift shop were located in spaces adjacent to the theatre entry. After Oreste Bachechi died, his sons took over theatre, combining vaudeville and out-of-town road shows with movies. The KiMo borrowed motifs from many of the pueblos surrounding Albuquerque, as well as from Navajo imagery and western folklore. Ceiling beams, light fixtures, handrails and other building elements were decorated to reflect the popular attractions of New Mexico's native peoples and natural wonders. Well-known local artist Carl von Hassler created murals for the lobby area, depicting the mythical Seven Cities of Cibola. The KiMo was purchased by the City of Albuquerque in 1977 for use as a community arts center. Following plans by architects Harvey Hoshour and Dan Pearson, the theatre's exotic details have been carefully restored and updated to serve a new generation of New Mexicans. As a Landmark, even the shape and proportion of the marquee as well as the colors used in the 1982 renovation must be preserved. Traditional Arabic coffee Taken By : Me ,,, Useing : Canon 450D EOS ,,, Traditional Arabic coffee ,,, ____________________________________________________________________ Arabic coffee is a general name that refers to the way coffee is prepared in many Arab countries throughout the Middle East.[1] There are two main ways of preparing Arabic coffee. Traditional coffee brewing, more common in the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, is flavor-rich with cardamom, and sometimes other spices like saffron to give it a golden color. It has a special coffee pot called dallah and the coffee cups are small but with no handle. The portions are very small, covering the bottom of the cup. It is served in houses and in good restaurants by specially clad waiters called gahwaji, and it is usually offered with the compliments of the house and is free. It is also offered at most social events like weddings and funerals. Traditional Arabic coffee in special Arabic coffee cupAnother method, more common in the Levant, is based on the Turkish coffee brewing method, at times with cardamom added, others plain or 'qahwa saada (plain coffee). Turkish coffee is also sometimes also referred to as "Arabic coffee". In one author's experience, this can refer to coffee prepared in the Turkish style, but with spices as described above. The trees that produce Arabic coffee are found in Syrian areas can measure over three meters in height (in contrast to the American plant, which only grows to a meter and a half). The leaves of the Arabic coffee plant are also comparatively large. ____________________________________________________________________ ????? ??? ?? ????? ?????? ????? ????? ?????? ??????? ???? ????????? ?????? ??? ?? ??? ?????? ?????? ??????? ???? ?? ?? ????? ????? ??? ??? *** ????? ?????? ??? ?????? ?????? ???? ???? ? ?? ????? ???? ???? *** ???? ??? ??? ????? ???? ????? ?????? ??????? ?????? ????????? *** ????? ???? ????? ???? ?????? ??? ????? ???? ?? ???? ????????? *** ???? ??? ??????? ???? ??? ?????? ????? ???? ? ???? ? ????? ? ???? *** ???? ??? ?????? ????????? ?????? ???? ????? ? ?????? ??? ?????? *** ???? ????? ???? ??? ?? ?????? ????? ?????? ????? ? ????? ????? *** ?????? ? ??????? ? ???? ?????? ??? ???? ?????? ?????? ?????? *** ??? ??? ?? ????? ? ??? ??? ??? ???? ?????? ???????? ????????? *** ??????? ?????? ??? ????? ?????? ???? ??? ???? ??? ????? ????? *** ??? ? ?????? ? ????????? ?????? ?? ?????? ? ???????? ??? ?????? *** ??????? ?????? ??? ?????? ?????? ????? ?????? ???? ????? ??????? *** ???? ???? ????? ?? ??? ?????? ?????? ??? ? ???? ? ???? ???????? *** ???? ??????? ??? ????? ?????? ???? ????? ?? ?????? ???? ?????? *** ??? ? ????? ??????? ???? ?????? ???? ??? ???????? ????? ???? ??? *** ?? ?????? ??? ?????? ???? ?????? ??? ? ??? ???? ?????? ????????? *** ????? ?? ?? ???? ?????? ?????? ????? ???? ????? ? ???? ?????? *** ??? ????? ????? ?? ??? ?? ??? 1948 Mid Century Traditional Living Room Early American or traditional style decorating was probably more popular at the time than the modern design that we like to think of now as representing Mid Century design.
