Have just seen...

The extended trailer for Ghost in the Shell: Innocence.I was a huge fan of the original, and I need to finish making DVD's from the avi's i have of the Standalone Complex series, but Innocence just looks...Its.And.Er.There is a blend between CGI and cel animation, and hot crackers if i don't think these guys have just hit the nail on the head. Some nice juicy screengrabs to come in a bit. Can't wait for a) It to be released and b)The subtitlers to get their hands on it.Screengrabs HERE

Work

The powercuts that plagued the Visual Arts building (where myself, Kevin, our workstations and the Print server are based), continue into today. After an hour of trying to rig up cleverness with extension chords we have stuck the print server in a classroom with a spare network port, and moved with a couple of laptops to the meeting room. On the plus side, this means noone really knows where we are, therefore the day is going to be a slow one (Although we did put a sign on the door redirecting people).Ho-Hum.Hopefully this will all be resolved by Monday. Or life could begin to get interesting. Its annoying as we need to be in that room to do a lot of the tasks we have on the book, so this is effecting how efficient we are at eliminating problems. Grrr.

Thoughts for the night

Bed is calling for me, but it always does.2003 was... interestig. Eventful. Surprising and at times, upsetting.2004 will be...All of the above, I suspect.Not always in the same ratios, or ways. But... yeah.I don't hold much truck with new years resolutions, but I'm making a few promises to myself:To lose weight.To learn the guitar (this year, I mean it).To be more creative.To take more chances in life, and try and find self confidence.The last one is helped greatly by friends and loved ones, and the support they give. This year I want to see more of my friends, a lot of the past two years has been spent without them, or commuting great distances for so little time. That can now change. Hurray.I'm looking forward to 2004. Should be fun.
