Ikea Roman Shades - Blue Paint Shades
Ikea Roman Shades
- (Roman Shade) A single sheet shade that rises up by lift cord in a tear drop or flat style that looks like an accordion folding up back and forth on itself. Reminds me of an opera house window treatment swag. Part of our Melhanna Shade collection.
- (Roman Shade) This window treatment style consists of a fabric shade with wooden slats inserted horizontally at intervals down its entire length. It is raised and lowered via pull cord as with other blinds, but gathers soft folds as it does so.
- (Roman shade) A flat fabric shade that folds into neat horizontal pleats when raised.
- An international, originally Swedish home products retailer that sells modern, utilitarian design furniture, much of which is assembled by the consumer
- IKEA (Ingvar Kamprad Elmtaryd Agunnaryd) is a privately held, international home products Dutch corporation that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, appliances and home accessories. The company is now the world's largest furniture retailer.
Baby Steps
Took my backdoor area and freshened it up. Repainted the ceiling area a fresh ultra white in flat paint to cover the multi-finished white ceiling as shown in the "before". Painted both the door leading outside and to the basement so they would match. Used Behr Premium Ultra Plus in "Roman Plaster". Replaced the crooked miniblind (with slat missing) with a plain rectangular curtain in a funky retro pattern in shades of brown and olive green. Hung two small Ikea mirrors on basement door; hung a swatch of extra fabric in matted frame to tie the area together. Fresh!
Windows Area - AFTER
We flipped the furniture and lightened everything with colors and a chair/table/rug from IKEA. I also put bamboo roman shades at the windows instead of the basic blinds.
