Setting A Formal Dining Table
- A full course dinner is a dinner consisting of multiple dishes, or courses. In its simplest form, it can consist of three or four courses, such as soup, salad, meat and dessert.

1/25/2010 - Setting the Table. I know that keeping your dining room table set when you're not having a meal in the dining room is a decorating faux pas. I don't care. I like it. It makes me happy to get out the pretty china and crystal and table linens. Setting the table is deeply ingrained in me from my childhood. We always sat down to the table for meals and the table was always properly set. Always. There were no exceptions. It wasn't fussy or stuffy or formal. It was just the way we lived. So, setting a pretty table makes me feel happy. And that's why I do it.
