I think two would obviously work best for each side of the basement. I measured the length of the floor as 144 inches which is 12 ft. I think the 7x 11 would be the best choice for size.
I've used this site many times and have really liked their furniture and reasonable pricing. I think two large red shag rugs would make the room feel cozier. I know you currently have one down there but i'm thinking bigger and the red shade a bit more muted than what you own. I'm very open to your thoughts so let me know what you think!

"North Sydney Post Office is situated in a prominent triangular site known as Victoria Cross, within the busy CBD of North Sydney. As part of a complex of buildings containing the Court House and Police Station, the building is a landmark feature within the surrounding streetscape.

his complex is an important civic conservation group of late Victorian buildings which define the centre of North Sydney.

The Post Office is a two storey Victorian Free Classical rendered brick building painted cream and tan, with classically styled detailing and reddish brown trim. Detailing comprises moulded string courses, imitation blockwork, central pediment, arched windows, columns to the bell room and arched bays to the adjacent building. The four-and-a-half-storey corner clock tower has a domed zinc roof with small dormers and a finial at the apex over an open sided bell room. The main roof consists of complex hipped, skillion slate and corrugated steel with four rendered and moulded chimneys which can be seen to punctuate the roof line behind the moulded parapet that extends along both street facades.

"The first post office in North Sydney was opened on 1 May 1854, trading under the name of St Leonards, the official name for the area until 1890. Mr G H Stevens was appointed first postmaster in 1854 with an annual salary of ?12, retiring in 1870 due to deteriorating health. The St Leonards post office serviced a large area of the lower North Shore, and by 1874 it was recommended that a 'Branch' post and telegraph office be established at North Shore, upgrading the current office to an official post office with telegraph facilities.

In April 1880 a conference was held between the four interested municipalities to discuss the location for the Post Office. It was decided that the site of the local Watch House was the most appropriate plus a portion of Government land adjoining it, which had been promised to the St Leonards Council as a site for the Town Hall. It was also recommended that the watch house be moved to the Post Office Site.

Three buildings were constructed on the site between 1886, which is the date for the Court House, and 1889 when construction of the Post Office was finished. The post office was ready for occupation on 31 January 1889, with the cost of the Post Office section being ?4500. A clock was installed over the front entrance to the Office, later being transferred into a new tower. The clock tower was built over the entrance in 1895 at a cost of ?965, with the clock being installed in July 1900. Circular stairs were also installed to the front of the office during this time."

This is located on Highway 41 (and the Old Dixie Highway) on the south side of Dalton, GA in an area where it seems like every business is a carpet outlet.

Wink, Dalton, GA

Built in 1941 by J.C.H. Wink, the Historic Wink Theatre is one of the oldest structures in downtown Dalton. The only example of Art Moderne architecture remaining in North Georgia, the theatre was built to be “a small town version of the Fox Theatre in Atlanta.” The Wink closed in the 1990s and now appears to be the Rock Bridge Church.

White Concrete Overlay

This concrete overlay was installed with several lifts over glazed ceramic tile. The project was a monolithic coating 900 square feet total. The areas included the Foyer/Hall flowing into the Dining, Kitchen,Laundry and Bathroom. The staining is next, with an organic color change transition into the Laundry and Bath. Modello carpet and fleur de lis will complete this French Country Style.

Glued Transition

This transition is actually wood molding for walls. It fit perfectly because it has about a 1/4 inch bevel that rests right on the tiles which was about 1/4 inch below the level of the carpet.

This is a movie that cruises on charm and smart casting, from McConaughey as a man whose glib polish is betrayed by a streak of doubt, down to the detectives (solid performances from Bryan Cranston, Michael Pare, Michaela Conlin, and others) and lowlifes (Katherine Moennig as an unlucky hooker, Shea Whigham as a lazy snitch) that flesh out the legal world. Every character pops out, clean and distinct; this sort of web-of-deceit story line, full of twists and turns, depends on the audience clearly connecting all the players. Some moments get overstated or maybe don't make complete sense, but the zippy pace carries the audience over those bumps. The Lincoln Lawyer could easily turn into a television series, a sort of Rockford Files-esque mixture of procedure and puzzle making. Also starring Marisa Tomei, William H. Macy, Frances Fisher, John Leguizamo, and Josh Lucas as the prosecuting attorney who gives McConaughey some competition in the chiseled-looks department. --Bret Fetzer

On his way to a meeting with a publisher, aspiring novelist Sam Wexler (Radnor) finds Rasheen, a young boy separated from his family on the subway. When the quiet Rasheen refuses to be left alone with social services, Sam learns the boy has already been placed in six previous foster homes and impulsively agrees to let the boy stay with him for a couple days. Dropped into Sam's chaotic, bachelor lifestyle, Rasheen is introduced to Sam's circle of friends; Annie (Malin Akerman) who has an unhealthy pattern of dating the wrong men, as well as an auto-immune disorder which has rendered her hairless, Mary-Catherine (Zoe Kazan) and Charlie (Pablo Schreiber) whose potential move to Los Angeles threatens their relationship, and Mississippi (Kate Mara), an aspiring singer/waitress who tests Sam's fear of commitment. When Sam's unexpected friendship with Rasheen develops, he realizes adulthood is not about waiting for the right answers to get the life you want, but simply stumbling ahead and figuring them out in the process.

Featuring a brilliant young cast and music from breaking indie musicians, happythankyoumoreplease deftly captures the uncertainty and angst of what it is to be young, vulnerable, and desperate to find out who you are - or perhaps more importantly, who you want to be.

It probably wasn't intentional, but Josh Radnor's first feature feels like a cross between Reality Bites and Garden State. Like Ben Stiller and Zach Braff, who also spent time in the television trenches, the actor-director takes the pulse of his generation through a cluster of characters. Radnor (How I Met Your Mother) plays Sam, a freelance writer who lives in New York City, along with Mary-Catherine and Charlie (Broadway veterans Zoe Kazan and Pablo Schreiber), a couple agonizing over a move to Los Angeles, and Annie (Malin Akerman), his best friend, who hasn't let an autoimmune disorder prevent her from enjoying an active social life, though she has doubts about the romantic potential in a particularly persistent attorney (Arrested Development's Tony Hale). When Sam falls for Mississippi (Kate Mara), a barmaid who moonlights as a cabaret singer, she admits a mutual attraction, but fears he treats relationships more like short stories than novels, when she's looking for a man with a longer attention span. Sam's short-term outlook starts to change when he takes in Rasheen (Michael Algieri), a silent comedian of a boy who loses track of his foster family on a crowded subway train. A few hours as his guardian turns into several days when Sam's every attempt to return him to the authorities goes awry. If the upbeat resolution to these interrelated stories comes as little surprise, Radnor's maiden directorial voyage registers as a sweetly diverting affair--though he may want to go easy on the folk-pop montages next time around. --Kathleen C. Today I spent a good portion of my dad treating the carpets and hardwood floors again...
It start w/ a bad for Dinah...
Then a treatment of front line plus on the back of her neck to rid her of the multitude of fleas still on her (even after a treatment less than a month ago)

Then I rainbow vacuumed the carpets... hardwoods, rugs... sofas...lazyboy...

Now that the kids are in bed I poured BORAX on the carpet room (we only have one, THANK the Lord)

Now Im in here typing while Dinah scratches all the dead fleas off her...

United Red Carpet Club - LAX

Brandy & Bandit

This pair are an interesting story, they came to me by way of my daughter. Brandy first of all was a stray in her neighborhood. Sue heard the neighbors talking about calling the Pound so she snatched her up and gave her a home. Thus earning a reputation for helping lost and helpless animals! Sue even had to get her back yard fenced to do so. Brandy was a very small puppy when she was taken in but grew to be a medium size brown dog. Nothing special just a sweet disposition.

Bandit was found by one of the neighborhood kids after being thrown out of a car window in front of the elementary school. Bandit was just a small puppy but she had the perfect markings of a German Shepherd but in miniature. She was so well behaved that if you put her in a tub for a bath and said “Stay there” she would just sit and wait for you to come back. That doesn’t happen very often! The parents would not let the children have a dog so they begged Sue to take her, and she like me could not resist.

When Sue decided to move to Orlando and she put her house on the market she needed a home for both Brandy and Bandit, so where could she go, why of course, Mom always had room for one or two more. At the time I had four of my own dogs, three small parrots and a cat. They all got along surprisingly well. They lived with me for several years until I decided I needed to sell the big house and move to something smaller with less expense. I advertised and found homes for the three birds, cat and three of the dogs.

Brandy and Bandit were two of the three that I felt needed new homes. It is more difficult to find homes and say goodbye then it is to have they die. You worry that the homes you choose will be the right ones for them.

Brandy seemed to be allergic to something in my yard as she lost a lot of her fur and we never found out what it was. She was adopted by a woman who was moving to Arkansas who felt Brandy would do better in that climate. She wrote me a letter from Brandy saying she was very happy there and all her fur was back. That put me somewhat at ease.

Bandit was adopted by a neighbor a few miles way. I have always been so sorry I let her go because she was so well behaved and beautifully marked. I do feel that she was happy in her new home as well. They seemed like very nice people and were so excited to have her. They had small children and she would have done very well in that situation. It was hard to separate them.

Brandy on left and Bandit loved to play together. The carpets or scatter rugs were always in a pile somewhere in the room. They would not stay in place for five minutes. It was a fun game for them, watching me straighten up and see how fast they could mess them up again.

Carpet notes: Traditionally attributed to Anatolia, I now have reason to think this fragment was manufactured by Christian weavers in what is now the northern Turkish region stretching from Trebizond to modern Azerbaijan, an area of Christian weavers traditionally a part of Greater Armenia and vanished Byzantium. This region was visited and lived in by Italian Dominican and Franciscan missionaries from 1250 onward, until around 1500. The region was heavily threatened by the Muslim incursions in the 15th century, and largely lost to the west when it was subsumed by the fall of Trebizond in 1461 to the Ottomans.

Often misleadingly called a Crivelli carpet because of its similarity to the carpets in paintings by Crivelli (of 1482 ,Frankfurt) and 1486 ,National Gallery, London), this important fragment incorporates not only the last animal/bird motifs found in early Renaissance paintings (see Crivelli's Annunciation of 1486), but the roundel medallion on the lower right is similar to those found in Pinturrichio's paintings in the Piccolomini Library in Siena od 1305. We also have the 8-point star motif on the lower left that is typically Armenian, as is the scorpion-motif , middle range, which is found in the San Marco altarpiece of 1440.

This econometric study covers the latent demand outlook for woven carpet and rugs across the states, union territories and cities of India. Latent demand (in millions of U.S. dollars), or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.) estimates are given across over 5,100 cities in India. For each city in question, the percent share the city is of it's state or union territory and of India as a whole is reported. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a city vis-a-vis others. This statistical approach can prove very useful to distribution and/or sales force strategies. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each state or union territory and city, latent demand estimates are created for woven carpet and rugs. How important is India compared to others in terms of the entire global and regional market? How much do the imports of blankets and traveling rugs vary from one country of origin to another in India? On the supply side, India also exports blankets and traveling rugs. The Big Merino was constructed by Adelaide builder Glenn Senner, using mostly local tradesman and took six months to build. The frame is steel, covered and shaped with wire mesh, sprayed and detailed in reinforced concrete and weighs in at 97 tonne. The architect was Gary Dutallis.

As the Goulburn bi-pass took effect on the city, Goulburn changed. The city expanded and a new development at the southern end meant that the Big Merino previously the first stop off the southern exit from the expressway was now stranded in no mans land. On the 26th May 2007 this grand structure moved 800 meters towards the southern exit to greener pastures.

The move has given Rambo a new lease on life with the construction of a new gift shop and a permanent exhibition from Australian Wool Innovation depicting the history of wool in Australia which is housed in the Big Merino structure. The second floor will eventually show all the stages of wool processing. Marshall Judd was commissioned to construct the under belly and three new legs representing a more complete, free standing model than previously shown.

The Big Merino gift shop displays an eclectic range of quality gift wear, cosmetics, crafts, souvenirs, opal and iron ore jewellry. We aim to supply our overseas and local visitors with the best quality products made from fine Australian merino wool. Our range includes Australian made ugg boots, locally hand-dyed gossamer-fine wool scarves, merino possum blend scarves, hats, jumpers and jackets, Mohair throw rugs and scarves, woollen doonas and underlays, pet doonas, medical and baby?s sheepskins as well as plush sheepskins.

It was not easy to do this, since there was no underlayment for the tile, and very little room to tuck the carpet. I had to put the tackless strip very close to the edge of the tile.
