The Cutting Edge steel sculpture is a gently slope inclined curving steel sculpture measuring around 90m with two ends; a circular top measuring around a meter at the top of Sheaf Square and a 4.5 meters tall elliptical shaped end at the lower Station end. The coloured glass adorning both ends were designed by Keiko Mukade and lit from inside to produce a jewel-like sparkles. The sculpture is also lit from below to create a floating effect when viewed from a high view point.

The Cutting Edge is the public artwork 'wall of water' outside Sheffield station. The water was off and it had just been cleaned.
