SOLENOID BALL VALVES - BALL VALVES
SOLENOID BALL VALVES - CS BUTTERFLY VALVE - BACK PRESSURE VALVE SYMBOL.
Solenoid Ball Valves
- (Ball valve) A ball valve is a valve with a spherical disc, the part of the valve which controls the flow through it. The sphere has a hole, or port, through the middle so that when the port is in line with both ends of the valve, flow will occur.
- A one-way valve that is opened and closed by pressure on a ball that fits into a cup-shaped opening
- (ball valve) any valve that checks flow by the seating of a ball
- (Ball valve) used to regulate the flow of water and to shut off skimmers, drains and other lines in order to vacuum or run a spa or water feature.
- a coil of wire around an iron core; becomes a magnet when current passes through the coil
- The solenoid defines the packing of DNA as a 30nm fiber of chromatin and results from the helical winding of at least five nucleosome strands.
- A cylindrical coil of wire acting as a magnet when carrying electric current
- A solenoid is a three-dimensional coil wound into a tightly packed helix. In physics, the term solenoid refers to a loop of wire, often wrapped around a metallic core, which produces a magnetic field when an electric current is passed through it.
Hi-Ball
Water coloured with red dye, using plain water wasn't giving me enough colour with this perspective.

Water droplets delivered via a Stopshot controlled solenoid valve. Camera and flashes triggered by a IR beam and StopShot programmable trigger.

580Ex @ 1/64 with snoot and Red gel aimed at the droplet from the right.
Caught in the net
This looks like a glass ball caught in a net? sort of...
A collision of two water drops
Taken with EOS 50D and EF180L lens using flash (MT24EX) on shortest duration 1/64 to freeze the movement . Shot taken in a darkened room at 1.3 secs, F9, ISO100. I also used a solenoid valve to drop the water.. HTH - Steve
