The Writer's Room Here I am showing off the weight I've lost. The books scattered around are for my research paper. Research shows that people who spend more time standing throughout the day get more movement overall than people who sit. The quantity of movements a person engages in, no matter how small, correlates with long-term maintenance of weight loss goals. Hence, I adjusted my IKEA Galant desk from its lowest setting (previously ideal for ergonomics) to its highest setting (standing height). I'm impressed with its flexibility in this regard, it's really maintained its value. Also pictured is an IKEA Brada laptop stand that I'm using to bring printed matter up to reading level.
