Cheap Accommodation In St Lucia
Saint lucia Accommodation See what people are saying about us... I returned from St. Lucia last month. Before going I had had a hard time trying to decide where to stay. I eventually wound up at "Deresidence" near the Botanic Gardens in Soufriere. I strongly recommend this place. It's very quiet, the owner, John Dorman, is friendly and accomodating, a man of patience. And the cost is very reasonable---US$50 a night for an excellent apartment which has breeze all day and night. There are fans; the ac didn't work so well, but you didn't really need it. The kitchen is well-equipped too.Good bath and toilet, lots of space, even a balcony to sit outside. John can connect you to Flora Louisy, a pleasant, honest woman who has a van and can take you wherever at better than average rates---she is also connected to the water taxi business down on the ocean front. She can take you, drop you and pick you up. It will work out cheaper than renting a car if you want to spend most of the day at the beach or hiking somewhere instead of driving around. The rides to and from the airport are expensive. Other than that, St. Lucia as seen from John Dorman's place and with the friendly Flora as driver was extremely pleasant and economical.
