Chevy Pickup Truck (Not Sure if 1964) with Tiny True Story ~ Can Someone Please Help Me Verify the Year? Car Show - For Now they are all SOOC - at Greenberry Tavern on Highway 99W and Greenberry Road between Corvallis and Monroe, Oregon, USA Story Part is between the rows of asterisks ************************************************************************* I had one just like this, except the engine wasn't all souped up. In fact it had some problem I had to occasionally get out at a stop light and open the hood and take a long screwdriver and do something to make it run again. I can't recall what the problem was. I think it had something to do with the throttle, but I got very quick and very good at fixing it. When we bought the truck (not this one but one like it) in about 1985 or so, it was already pretty old. My husband, at the time said are you sure it is worth $400 or $500? I said, "Oh yeah, the tailgate alone is worth about $100; and if it makes it from Creswell to Eugene, Oregon, it is worth it!" The tailgate was in very nice condition, and they were hard to find at wrecking yards at that time. I never did have to part out anything on it. In spite of the little occasional quirk at stoplights, it was a good truck. I drove the truck for a year or two and then sold it for $412. Not bad at all. ************************************************************************** Can someone who is positive of the year help me out. I want to post it in the correct year, and I can't remember if 1963 or 1964 or what? (IMG_1773 ) (SOOC) She Would Like to Buy a Vowel Once I was watching Wheel, and some poor kid with the strongest southern accent had this puzzle to solve: N U C L E _ R D _ S A R M A _ E N T. He said, "Payut, Ah'd lack to solve uh puzzle. Noo-quoo-lurr dis-ar-ma-NINT." Pat looked nervously at the judges off camera and asked the kid to repeat it. "Noo. Quoo. Lurrr. Dis. Ar. Ma. Nint!" Pat turned green and gave the boy one. final. chance. "NOO! QUOO! LURR!! DIS!! AR! MA! NINT!!" And they didn't give it to him. Maybe he needed to buy a vowel?
