Bikes parking Bikes and Scooters parking lot. (well organized...there are more chaotic ones on Shanghai's streets) The picture you can take on every street in Shanghai since bicycles are still widely used. besides the bicycles you'll see more and more scooters for the lazy people :-) Sometimes it's hard to pass them on the sidewalk since there are so many and the space is limited. This means when you wanna pass then you have to step down to the street...but be aware of the bicycles with people on who want to pass as well. Shanghai is an adventure and I am going out every day with seeing something I have never seen before...this still happens after 6 years... Photo taken during the farewell Alfre Shanghai Flickr Group meetup. Motor chain setup Be careful. I forgot that the motor chain is higher up on the frame than the regular cycling chain. Clothing got caught. I when down with my pants sucked into the engine. I was really concerned I was going to have to disrobe in public to get my pants loose. We eventually got a cover for the chain but I am still very cautious about what clothing I wear when riding.
