536 S. Hough St. This house was built near the intersection of Ela and Dundee Rds. When the railroad came to Barrington, it was put on a flat car and moved to Barrington and put down on a lot on East Station St., just east of what is now Barrington Flower Shop. It was moved again, this time to this lot by Garrett Landwer, to make room for a millinery store. It became the home of a Mrs. Hastings; then William Meyer. Later, Ward Olmsted, who ran the Standard Oil Bulk Station,when it was on Applebee St. by the railroad, lived in this house. 6-20-1989 Cafe Redux I did a similar shot to this just about a year ago in Lund Sweden. This one is from Cargo & James tea shop, on Barrington in Halifax. I do like my cliche shots, but I thought this was alright.
