i think this may be the first time my (portland (non-cargo)) bike has shown up on my flickr account. probably because i'm usually snapping pictures from it and not of it.

i got this bike off of craigslist for 70 bucks in 2006. since then it has seen a host of new and overhauled parts. i put on a sealed shimano bottom bracket, new cranks and pedals (after the old cottered ones disintegrated and a pedal collapsed while crossing burnside during rush hour) nice aluminum rims with quattro hubs, tektro r556 long reach brakes (lots of room for fenders, even with my big 27" wheelset) and lots of other small details. The frame, stem, and rear derailleur may be the only original components left. In this picture it is wearing my knobby winter tires. when there isn't snow and ice on the roads i ride on specialized armadillos.
