Martins Bank Ltd
This was the headquarters of Martin's Bank Ltd, which changed its name from Bank of Liverpool and Martins Ltd in 1928 and was in turn bought with its 560 branches by Barclays in 1968.

Built at the peak when Liverpool was one of the wealthiest cities in Europe, the banking hall is a listed 1930's building, which still retains its original fittings including a vast glass ceiling.
During the Second World War, a large part of Britain's gold reserve was stored in the Liverpool branch of Martins Bank.
1/8 Big Boy Doll/Bank in 70s Packaging
I used to have several of these dolls from the time when I worked at Big Boy (1995), including one in the back window of my car wearing a "gold rope" necklace (a cheap bracelet out of a vending machine). My dad bought me this one as a gift about a year ago, from ebay...the ones sold individually at the restaurant during my era didn't come wrapped like this, they were just lined up under the display counter and on top of the salad bar. Also, the banks from my era had him holding a giant rubber hamburger aloft. Stands about 8.5" high and is made of a soft, rubbery material.
