Mercedes C63 AMG
Last Weekend Mercedes Benz had celebrated their 125. anniversary. The location was the closed Airport Tempelhof in Berlin. Fortunately thats just 10 min away from my flat, so I was there at both days, of course ^^. It was such an awesome event and after I waited for 2 hours in a line my highlight was about to start. I took a seat in the passenger seat of a C63 AMG. And than it went wild. The Driver from Mercedes driftet the car around pylons and I really hadn't experienced anything like that before in a car. It was EPIC. Seriously, its unbelievable how fast this car accelerated and how easy the driver "throw it around" the corners while the rear wheels were smoking :). If I had the Money I guess I had bought one of those just after the ride was over ^^.

Complementary Colors
This is my submission for the complementary colors challenge. For this challenge we had capture a photo that celebrates complementary colors as their subject. In other words, capture a photo that's predominantly orange/blue, red/green, purple/yellow, or really, any two colors that sit opposite one another on the color wheel (sometimes called the color circle).
I spent some time vacationing in Miami this weekend, and was carrying my iPhone with a screenshot of the color wheel as a reference...After one or two pictures in the airport... we grabbed some beers and went to the beach, and I kinda totally forgot about the shooting challenge. Good times!
This morning I asked my parents for suggestions before I headed to the airport (I was staying over with them), and my mom had this idea of using yarn and thread to find complementary colors. The idea took a life on its own and we ended up using all of the combinations we had for our own version of the color wheel with thread...
And here it is!
Azure
Azure is a blue-cyan color on the HSV color wheel (Hue, Saturation, Value), also known as the RGB color wheel, at 210 degrees. Azure is the hue that is halfway between blue and cyan. Azure is one of the tertiary colors on the HSV color wheel. Its complementary color is orange.[2]

Yakima River fall color
Son in his new cataraft, heading down the Yakima River to the Umtanum Creek Canyon footbridge, where we will "take out".
Young son up from Arizona again. He just purchased a new Waterskeeter Guide Lite cataraft to support his favorite avocation - - dry fly fishing.
He talked his wife and me into going in half each on a 2nd Guide Lite. Great deal for the whole family.
The two of us decided to give the two new catarafts a "test run" down an easy river, so we floated the Yakima River from Ringer Road, north of the Yakima River Canyon, down to the Umtanum Creek Canyon foot bridge.
I left my four wheel drive pickup truck at the Umtanum footbridge parking, and we took the two new rafts up to assemble and launch at Ringer Loop access.
On the float down the river we saw mule deer and many bighorn sheep, who watched us float by from their canyon cliff view points.
The Yakima River is a great year round catch and release trout stream. We both had our fly fishing gear along, but since my son, and his wife had an evening flight back to Arizona, we didn't want to chance them missing their flights, so we just enjoyed our float.
Fall colors were spectacular along the way. We had calm, high winds, sun, clouds, and rain. Whatever the weather we both had a great time.
There are some minor adjustments to the set up of the two catarafts, that we will make on our next float, but all in all, they performed absolutely wonderful. Perfect craft for small rivers.
We will get many years of use out of these small catarafts. I'm already plotting a 2009 float trip (a three day float trip from Minam to Troy, Oregon on the Wallowa and Grande Ronde rivers). Can't wait.

From the director of The Cell comes a visually stunning epic fantasy about a bedridden man who entertains a curious little girl by telling her a fantastical story of exotic heroes and far off places which reflects his state of mind. The central story takes place in a remote 1920's hospital where a small girl named Alexandria (Catinca Untaru) is recovering from a severe looking shoulder injury incurred in a fall while trying to pick oranges. One day she happens to meet Roy (Lee Pace) - a stunt or "gag" man for the "flickers" or moving pictures- who seems to have injured himself out of a future in a particularly reckless stunt, even for those times. He is a clearly unhappy man who- through his own carelessness- unwittingly leads Alexandria to believe that he intends to entertain her with a lavish, epic story of exotic heroes and far off places. As the stuntman's health reaches to the point of peril - so does the story he is telling her...with potentially fatal consequences.
Roger Ebert proclaimed it "one of the most extraordinary films I've ever seen," and there's no denying the avalanche of wild images in The Fall: grand castles, desert vistas, elephants swimming in the open ocean. Commercial and music-video director Tarsem has piled these visions into an elaborate remake of an obscure Bulgarian film, Yo Ho Ho, which is anchored in (but by no means limited to) a quiet hospital during the silent-movie era. A stunt man (Lee Pace) is laid up with leg injuries, and an eye-popping black-and-white prologue (utterly mystifying while we're watching it) tells us how he got here. Depressed over his disability and a recent lost love, he plans suicide, but is temporarily derailed by the inquisitive friendship of a little girl (Catinca Untaru), to whom he tells wild stories of adventurers and princesses. We see these stories, which is where the dizzying visuals come in. This movie probably won't inspire many lukewarm responses: either you'll fall madly for this paean to storytelling magic, or you'll be suspicious about the parade of pretty pictures, which tend to have a magazine-layout sheen. The movie certainly has more soul than Tarsem's yucky previous feature, The Cell, and the scenes between Pace and Untaru (who scores an 11 on the cuteness scale) are genuinely charming. The director actually put a considerable amount of his own money into the production (which shot in over 20 countries), and whether you buy his vision or not, he put his money on the screen. --Robert Horton

MVP! :D So we had the last day of our softball tournament, and the first game we lost, but for me it was a really good game :) [well, evidently...^ x)] i had a few really good hits, a few good bunts, and i really good running catch haha. It was sweet, it was a really really fun game and i really liked meeting the new girls. It was a fun team. So each team at these invitationals gets an MVP ribbon before the game to give to the other team's MVP--whoever they choose. So we wanted to give theirs to their right fielder, because, as Kristen said, if she hadn't caught the one she did, we probably would've won the game. So two of our girls go over to give her the ribbon, and they go "Umm, we wanted to give this to your right fielder.." and the other girls on the other team go, "Oh! So did we!" (Which is me) so i was really shocked but suuper excited :)
Anyway, this is a really crappy picture and i'm sorry but it wasn't working out the way i wanted to. Almost done updating too! :D

Day in the Life
Spent my saturday hangin' with a good group of guys with some sick cars.
We started out the day with everyone at Parkers shop, the owner of the blue M3, then headed to Glacier Peak high school for the first location.
Got to Glacier Peak and starting shooting, spent about and hour and a half shooting everyones car together, then doing individual shots, including some rollers.
Some of the guys had to leave so the owners of the Silver, Black, and White M3's, unfortunately not the white HPF M3 ;) headed into Seattle to shoot on the dock side of Alki.
We got to Alki and parked on the boat launch, had some choice words with some boaters, had some randoms ask to have their pics taken next to the cars lol, and then a guy with some sweet headlights on his honda wanted in on the action too.
After all that we moved over to the parking lot, setup my lighting and started to shoot once it got dark enough. We had multiple people stop and ask what we were up to including some other bmw friends and a couple SICK Chevy's with ice cream paint jobs and lambo doors.
All in all it was a very fun and eventful day. I had a great time hangin' with the guys shootin' some pics.

Pictures from the South Texas Maize
When we pulled into the South Texas Maize area I noticed this planted section that had sunflowers and zinnias growing in it. All sorts of bees and butterflies were lighting on the flowers and I must have shot over 75 pictures just in this one spot! This lovely swallowtail didn't want to be captured...but I finally caught her!

jalapeno lime scallops
I didn't have any fresh cilantro and almost didn't make these tonight, but oh! They are so yummy!
Here's the excellent recipe, courtesy of Dana Carpender, a low-carb cookbook author. I've changed it a bit to inexact measurements.
You need a jalapeno or two, depending on how spicy you like it, butter, lime or lime juice, and fresh cilantro, if you have it.
Melt the butter (about 3 T per pound of scallops) in a heavy pan, saute giant scallops for a bit, add some finely chopped jalapenos, cooks some more, squeeze half a lime in there, cook some more, then sprinkle with cilantro. Put sauce on the scallops when you plate them.

I bought frozen fresh scallops one month ago, and just got idea how to cook them till yesterday. It's to shallow fry scallops which has been surrounded by flour firstly, then put the boiled carrot, mushroom, dry-mushroom, when all of them done, it's ok. The internet recipes also mentioned cucumber for green which could be finally called "five-colors", I just didn't use it because no cucumber by hand.... such a long boring annotation....
but, anyway, it tastes good.
