Hydraulic Brakes For Bikes
- (hydraulic brake) A brake system that utilizes liquid instead of cables for actuation.
- hydraulic brake: brake system in which a brake pedal moves a piston in the master cylinder; brake fluid then applies great force to the brake pads or shoes
- ("Hydraulic Brake") A method of Bridge Crane controlling or reducing speed by means of displacement of a liquid.

Bigwood bike
I'm fairly certain that this machine belongs to Tim Bigwood, who designs all the jigs and fixtures at the Bradford on Avon factory. He has worked for Alex Moulton for over forty years. Note that it is fitted with hydraulic brakes. I'm only surprised that the front and rear suspension is not fluid inter-connected! Sorry, that's a bit of an obscure reference to hydrolastic car suspension, but if I have to explain that, it's not really funny is it. If I'm wrong about the bike, and it is yours, please leave a comment!
Brake!
On Christmas day, the Sun came out for the first time in several days. This gave us the chance to dive out into the back garden and just sap a few pics for the sake of it!! This is the rear hydraulic disc brake on No2 son's new bike. Very nice!
