36 Inch Tall Lighthouse Outdoor Solar Light 3 Ft House This wonderfully detailed 3 foot tall lighthouse outdoor garden or porch statue has a solar powered light in the lantern area on top. The lantern turns on automatically in dark conditions, and lasts up to 10 hours under a full charge. The light comes from 3 clear LEDs, so the lantern casts a nice white glow under dark conditions. Made of cold cast resin, the lighthouse measures 36 inches tall, and 9 1/2 inches in diameter at its widest. The top is copper colored aluminum. It's hand-painted, and shows great detail.This statue makes a wonderful gift for any lighthouse lover. (15) we finally got our lighthouse! It was a rainy day... the next day was sunny and gorgeous, but there was no wind. We'd hoped to get closer to the top of the lighthouse... maybe we'll come back another time. The DNR workers who were there yesterday when it was sunny said that they're probably going to open the lighthouse for tours next year. How fun! The top of the lighthouse is between the two buildings. I wish the scene was a little less crowded, but I liked the light. According to legend, Peggy's Cove was named after the only survivor of a schooner that ran aground and sank in 1800... a woman named Margaret. Local folk called her "Peggy" and her home came to be known as Peggy's Cove.
