There's a camera shop near where I live, and I usually buy my film, chemicals, and paper there. They also have a ton of antique cameras for sale. My parents know I'm really into antique cameras now, so on my birthday, we went to the camera shop and they basically told me to pick anything I wanted. So I chose this little camera! LOL (I almost got a 16mm movie camera, but it didn't have the lens and I didn't feel like trying to hunt for one). It's an Argus C3 Matchmatic, a 35mm rangefinder camera. It's a really cool, "retro" looking camera (I think the two-color body looks kind of classy). I had some problems with the focus at first, my first test roll of film came out entirely blurry. The rangefinder wasn't matched up with the lens (apparently, someone had taken the lens off at some point and didn't put it back on right). It took me a while, but I finally fixed it and now this camera works great. In fact, it takes amazingly good pictures considering it's probably at least 50 years old! Like the standard Argus C3, this cameras is heavy, boxy, and kind of awkward to use. The rangefinder window is also really cloudy and hard to see through. But there's just something about it that I really like. Day 23/365 -- Stash House; Part 1 of 2 7/26/2011 -- Stash house is THAT boutique. They have successfully opened 2 locations since May; one in the Connecticut Post Mall, and one in the Westfield Trumbull Mall where these following 2 shots were taken. First part of the day went by kinda slow; I just sat around, watched movies and photographed a few more pairs of sneakers for sale. I figured I'd go on by Stash House and inquire about a certain product that I hoped they'd be receiving, and was fulfilled with spectacular news :D Oh, but wait...of course something has to go wrong! I had forgot my tripod at home fmlzzz, oh well, I did what I had to do. I'm just not happy with the crops, as I'm so used to using the tripod, GAWD damnz wide-angle warping....lulzzz :D Anyways, I took a few shots and with the amount of tips, tricks, concepts, ideas and techniques that I have studied, attempted and learned these were the finished products. I have beyond much to learn, and the only thing I can do is practice and study more. -- Camera info: Nikon D90 Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 -- Editing info: Dodge Vintage Layers and more layers Patience -- Enjoy! -- All Rights Reserved.
