Flashglasses. I found a 20 year old hot shoe mount flash...and it has a test button. Cant say the sunglasses helped a whole lot. I'll be ordering a radio trigger soon, which probably wont work with the flash I have, so I'll have to buy a more "modern" flash. Rebel XTi Sigma 10-20mm @ 11mm ISO 100 F18 Autofocused with a lamp, then switched to manual focus and turned off lamp. 10 second timer. Shutter Speed: a few seconds in a dark room. Arms length Mamiya flash fired with the test button. First time using a flash off camera. matrix take an average looking donkey.....give him a shower.....take him to a saloon....give him a haircut.....pluck his nose hairs.....buy him a pair of sunglasses.....buy an expensive camera.......read some online articles on photography........adjust the aperture....shutter speed....get a tripod......aim at a nice angle ....click!!! .....crop ....sharpen ....darken. ..brighten .....and wut do u have......a horse!!! Custom Bone Daddy and Slick Willie action figures (2002) Bone Daddy action figures were always part of the game plan. Unfortunately, the mammoth production schedule of the first (and now the second) Bone Daddy movie, added to the complete and utter collapse of my customizing empire, meant that these figures sat, unfinished, in my to-do box for close to two years. Well, I've finally finished them, so here they are. RECIPE, ACCURACY, AND INSPIRATION Materials: * Cantina Han - Bone Daddy body * Chancellor Valorum - Bone Daddy coat * Ceremonial Luke - slide used for shades * Luke T-16 - Slick Willie body Okay so I'm not thrilled with these. I mean they're all right, but they're nothing compared to my designs for the Bone Daddy 2 figures, which are going to be a lot more badass. There's no badassiness in the Star Wars line. So basically I did these to get them done, and now they're display models. For Bone Daddy, I began by sanding off Han's holster, and then I crazy-glued the knee joints to make sculpting the pants easier. The pants had to be sculpted twice - I had 'em perfect before the 2-year gap in the production process, and by the time I'd gotten back to it they were cracked and crushed, so I had to sculpt them again. The result: really big bell bottoms. I also added the afro at this phase, which I intentionally overexaggerated. The texture was applied using Senator Palpatine's cloak. I painted the pants and shirt (detailing on the shirt: yellow ochre), then used black electrical tape to make the belt. The afro, of course, fell off so it was crazy glued to his head and painted black with a light wash of medium grey to bring out highlights. The coat was a cut Valorum cloak, painted brown, which was slipped over the figure. The coat was also given a lighter brown wash to bring out a leathery look. The arms were not modified, just painted the same brown. The sunglasses were a freeze-frame action slide from Ceremonial Luke, with the back painted black for that full opacity. Bone Daddy was not given a weapon in this incarnation, as he never ended up using one on screen. I was originally going to do Slick Willie in his jacket, but to get the project done more quickly I chose to lose the jacket and have it be Willie as seen in his "slow motion running" shot. This worked well with the articulated knees. (I think the only significant drawback here is the lack of the WilliSliq tube in his pocket, but that will be incorporated in version 2.) Luke's hair was shaved off his head with an X-acto knife, and then I carved "slicked hair" into the plastic using a variety of sharp implements. The butt-cape was taken out altogether and bellbottoms were fashioned for the pants using Sculpey. The turtleneck was sculpey as well. The shirt was painted Pthalo Blue, and the glasses were made the same way as Bone Daddy's. Deadliest catch was our favorite. he would watch with me and Justin. and American Chopper and Myth Busters with Elizabeth. In His last week we started to watch a movie together that he had tivo'ed. 1/2 way thru we called it a night. we never finished the movie....... after his passing i went out and bought the movie. i have not yet watched the 2nd half. just not yet. at work i have his Name tag and Photo where i can see it. in my Jeep i have his Sunglasses. and his Grey Sweatshirt Draped over my back seat so every time i look in the rear view........ reminders everywhere. but the little constant,signs i get are AMAZING.... just yesterday, i pulled into the wawa (wawa bayshore Road) to get gas right after my tattoo appt. turned the engine off and the gas station radio was playing his song he used to ALWAYS sing that song to my mom. Most people think if they created a business, put it on the market and have thrived with it, the work load can be lessened and they can relax. This could not be further from the truth. If you don’t maintain the quality of your business with the same standards that you worked so hard when you opened it, your business will not survive. So building a business is like climbing Mount Everest. Maintaining a business is the magic formula to success. 32 It was around 4 p.m. on a Tuesday in early March when the phone rang in our Rocky River office. I was out and about, travelling between different locations. One of my employees, our bookkeeper, answered the phone. “Hello,” she said. “Le Chaperon Rouge. May I help you?” “Hello,” a female voice said, not identifying herself. “We are looking for Ms. Stella Moga.” “She is not here right now,” she replied. “Can I take a message for her?” “Yes. We would like to invite Ms. Moga to join the President on stage tomorrow morning.” There was a slight pause before she asked, “President of what?” “President of the United States,” the woman said. My bookkeeper scoffed. “Ms. Moga doesn’t have time for jokes,” she said, then hung up the phone. Less than a minute later the phone rang again. “Hello,” my bookkeeper said. “Le Chaperon Rouge. May I help you?” “Miss,” the woman said. “This is not a joke. This is real.” While my employee sat stunned for a moment, the woman reeled off a telephone number in Washington, D.C. “Please give Ms. Moga this phone number to call as soon as possible,” the woman said. “We need her full name and social security number so that we can get her clearance to appear on stage with President Bush tomorrow morning.” And then she hung up. For a few minutes, my staff member sat there in a panic. And then she proceeded to tracked me down and recount the entire conversation. When she was finished, she said, “I’m so sorry, Ms. Moga. I thought it was a joke.” “That’s OK,” I said. “How could you have known?” After getting the message, I sat there wondering exactly what was going on. And then I called the number the woman in D.C. has provided. “Thank you for returning our call, Ms. Moga,” the woman said. “We would like to invite you to site on the stage tomorrow morning with the President.” She asked for several pieces of personal information so that the Secret Service could clear me for the appearance then said, “You’ll need to be there at 7:30 a.m.” “It would nice if I had more notice,” I said. “I have a full day of meetings.” “Ms. Moga, do you want to sit with the President on stage or not?” she said. “Of course.” “Then be there no later than 7:30 a.m.,” she said, and hung up. I quickly called all my appointments for Wednesday and cancelled them. The next morning, on Wednesday, March 10, I woke up early and got dressed. I arrived at the Cleveland Convention Center for the Women’s Entrepreneurship in the 21st Century Summit a little before 7:30 a.m. and found a long line of people waiting to get in. After my phone call with the woman in Washington I called around to find out what exactly the event I was invited to was about. It turned out to be a summit for women entrepreneurs, and more than 1,000 women were expected to attend. The President was coming to speak with a key constituent group – women – as part of his re-election campaign. So I became aggravated when I saw the line. I hadn’t solicited the President to appear with him. I hadn’t signed up for this event. And quite frankly, I didn’t have time to stand in this line when I was supposed to check in at 7:30 a.m. to sit on the stage. I began looking around for event organizers. Instead, I found a couple of Secret Service agents. They were busy guiding people in and searching purses and bags. I walked up to one gentleman wearing a dark suit and sunglasses, just like in the movies, and said, “I can’t stand in this line. I was invited by the President to sit on the stage. Where can I go check in?” He didn’t miss a beat. “What is your name?” he asked. I told him. He checked a sheet he had and said, “Ms. Moga, come in on please.” I was ushered into a large room filled with women and news reporters everywhere. A man directed me to the stage, where there were many tables seats set up astride the podium. In reality, it didn’t seem as special as it sounded but it still was very flattering to be invited to be up there. There were more than 1,000 people and only a handful up on the stage. I took my seat at an assigned table and began listening to the speakers, successful women from all over the country. The Horrific Effects of Alchohol These and the following 4 pictures were all taken one May afternoon towards the end of the first year. Myself, Dave and Jim were cooking dinner for some mates, and I'd made a start on the food just after lunch whilst they nipped off to college. A couple of hours later I got a call (on the phone we'd only just had put in!) to come down the pub. By 3 O'Clock Dave was already very far gone, as you can see from this sequence. I left a little ahead of them to finish sorting dinner out. Half an hour later Dave, Jim and our guests arrived, Dave clutching a cupboard door he'd picked up en-route. He proceeded to run up to a wall (or the floor), put the cupboard door against it, and go "look it's a cupboard", then he'd "open" it and go, "naaaah, it's just the floor - had you going!" He did this not once, but several times. He managed to eat the starter, but then promptly passed out. We left him curled up on the sofa with a note explaining where we'd gone, and when we returned he woke up, swore, shouted at us all, then ran for the loo but didn't make it in time, so emptied 4 hour old hot and sour soup all over the bathroom. I wasn't able to touch the stuff for a couple of years after that. Infinity This is a cell phone capture Jim made of himself with the T-shirt, sporting the look that inspired the shirt's design. Framed in the frame I'm planning on doing some painting as hobby. I was good at drawing since I was little. Did good in art school as well (hey i can believe whatever!), but i think i really have b/w in my blood. While I did ok with painting for schools, I wasn't really big fan of it. I rather use one pencil or charcoal and spend hours detailing shadow and light in monochrome. I don't know what I will do just yet, but challenging something new is always good. And staying away from computer graphics is extra good. (don't get me wrong, I love them too. I am graphic designer because I love them.) The cat is from paint-night-over-a-drink with my friends. No wonder I need practice with inks... :p F-15C Eagle and F-15E Strike Eagle (2) All F-15C/Ds and F-15Es can carry conformal tanks scabbed to the sides of the fuselage. However, in USAF service F-15C/Ds rarely carry them. On the F-15E they are a standard fit, giving it a much bulkier appearance. Most of the Strike Eagle's weapons are suspended from hardpoints mounted to the conformal tanks. When I built my F-15E about two years ago, I knew that one day I might want to build an F-15C as well, and took this into account. Because of this, the parts of both models that are the same on the real aircraft are also largely the same on my models. A picture was taken of a mirror in the bathroom, then of this girl standing in front of the mirror with her reflection. Previously to this shoot I had compiled a collage of beachy things and photoshopped them together to make one superimposition. This beach scene was added to the blank mirror image and the perspective was changed the make it look more realistic. Then using the other image of the reflected girl, the girl was cut out and then superimposed onto the picture in progress, reduced in size and put in the right place. Finally after hours of work, it created this image above. There are two photographers who have inspired me to take this photo - Richard Hamilton and Ansel Adams. i have combined both of there ideas into one image. Richard Hamilton puts things out of context and Ansel Adams takes landscapes and aesthetic photos. The beach scene is taking Adams idea and the reflection in the non-existent mirror with the beach scene being the mirror has been taken from Hamilton. Wright Park Wright Park, which is located at the eastern part of the city and fronting the main gate of the Mansion, is one of the many scenic parks in Baguio City. Its main features are a shallow elongated rectangular body of water known as the "Pool of Pines" and the park circle which is on one end of the park. Postcard-type photographs are usually taken at both ends of Wright Park and when going there it is best to bring along a camera. Tall pine trees and decorative street lights line both sides of the access road beside the pool. There are times that you will find at the park some Igorots dressed in their native attire and regalia who are willing to pose for a photograph provided they are going to be paid for it.
