The Horrific Effects of Alchohol
These and the following 4 pictures were all taken one May afternoon towards the end of the first year. Myself, Dave and Jim were cooking dinner for some mates, and I'd made a start on the food just after lunch whilst they nipped off to college. A couple of hours later I got a call (on the phone we'd only just had put in!) to come down the pub.
By 3 O'Clock Dave was already very far gone, as you can see from this sequence. I left a little ahead of them to finish sorting dinner out. Half an hour later Dave, Jim and our guests arrived, Dave clutching a cupboard door he'd picked up en-route. He proceeded to run up to a wall (or the floor), put the cupboard door against it, and go "look it's a cupboard", then he'd "open" it and go, "naaaah, it's just the floor - had you going!"
He did this not once, but several times. He managed to eat the starter, but then promptly passed out. We left him curled up on the sofa with a note explaining where we'd gone, and when we returned he woke up, swore, shouted at us all, then ran for the loo but didn't make it in time, so emptied 4 hour old hot and sour soup all over the bathroom.
I wasn't able to touch the stuff for a couple of years after that.

This is a cell phone capture Jim made of himself with the T-shirt, sporting the look that inspired the shirt's design. We were going to have this shot redone professionally, but, alas, the sunglasses are no more.
