Wentworth Earl Miller III (born June 2, 1972) is an English-born American actor who achieved fame as Michael Scofield in the Fox Network's television series Prison Break.

Miller's father is of African, Jamaican, English, German Jewish, and Cherokee [1] descent, and his mother is of Russian, French, Dutch, Syrian, and Lebanese descent.[2] In an interview, Miller said: "My father is black and my mother is white. Therefore, I could answer to either which kind of makes me a racial Lone Ranger, at times, caught between two communities."[3]

He was born in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, England, where his father, a Rhodes Scholar, was studying.[4] His family moved to Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York, when he was one. He has two sisters, who are both currently practising law. [5]

Miller's first three years of high school were spent at Midwood High School in Brooklyn, where his nickname was "Stinky".[6] He then transferred to Quaker Valley Senior High School in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh, where he graduated in 1990. In 1995, he graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English Literature. While at Princeton, he performed with the school's a cappella group, The Princeton Tigertones.

Subsequently, he headed to Los Angeles, California, to pursue an acting career. He ended up spending years doing behind-the-scenes work to support himself before devoting himself seriously to auditioning for acting roles.

Miller's first starring role was as the sensitive and introverted David in ABC's mini-series Dinotopia. After appearing in a few minor television roles, he moved on to co-star in the film The Human Stain (2003), playing the younger version of Anthony Hopkins' character.

Miller further increased his profile in 2005 by obtaining the starring role as Michael Scofield in Fox Network's television drama, Prison Break. His performance in the show earned him a 2005 Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series.[7]

Also in 2005, Miller made appearances in the music videos of Mariah Carey's "It's Like That" and "We Belong Together" (consequently, Entertainment Weekly's website named it the 2nd sexiest music video cameo of all-time). Both music videos were directed by Brett Ratner, who directed the series pilot of Prison Break. According to Brett Ratner on the DVD audio commentary for the "Pilot" episode of Prison Break, Wentworth Miller auditioned for the role of Superman/Clark Kent when the Superman Returns project was still under Ratner's directorial control.

It was revealed that he had an intense personal connection to this mixed-race character. Not only did Miller possess a similar racial background, but he also was involved in a controversial racial incident during his time at Princeton, when he was mistakenly believed to have written a derogatory remark about African-Americans, similar to the situation with his character in the movie.

In 1994, while he was a junior at Princeton, Miller published a cartoon in The Daily Princetonian featuring Cornel West, who was then a professor of African-American Studies there but who had just been hired away by Harvard University. The cartoon depicted Muffy, a white Harvard student, imagining her first class with West, who is saying, "Today's lecture is entitled, Rhythm—Why None of You Have It, and How You Can Get It." It also described West as "newly purchased," which is an innocent academic term for newly hired that was taken as a reference to slavery.

Within days the paper had run angry letters signed by dozens of students and faculty members, including novelist Toni Morrison, who according to the The New York Times wrote an angry letter to Miller. A symposium was even convened on campus on the issue. Miller, who everyone assumed was white, was considered a campus racist. Like 'Coleman Silk', Miller declined to bring up his own African-American heritage.

Years later when discussing the controversy, Miller remarked: "To be perfectly clear, passing is something that has never crossed my mind. Instead of stepping forward and explaining what I'd meant by the cartoon and positing my own racial background as evidence that I'd really meant no harm, I chose to remain silent. My attitude was, If they don't get it, I don't have to explain it, which was my way of saying that if they don't get me, I don't have to explain me. The people who knew me on campus and knew my background knew where I was coming from, but I think for most people I was just a name in the paper, and they probably assumed I was white."[8]

After filming The Human Stain, Miller wrote a letter to West apologizing for the cartoon, but received no replies. However, West was present at the premiere of the movie. Incidentally, West is a friend of actress Anna Deavere Smith, who played Coleman Silk's mother in the film. He unexpectedly gave Miller a bear hug (implying to some observers that West had decided to forgive, if not forget, what had happened).[9]

In October 2006, Wentworth Miller was interviewed by a German journalist, and said that his surname (Miller) happens to be "Müller" in German, which probably came from his German Jewish grandfather.[citation needed]

Purcell was born in London, England in 1970, the eldest of five children. He moved to Sydney, Australia with his family when he was two, where he was raised by his Norwegian father and Irish mother in the Western Suburbs. Purcell's father, who had previously served in the Norwegian Navy, installed air-conditioning ducts for a living but later abandoned the family.[1]

After quiting his high school education, Purcell was employed as a landscaper.[2] Although he never contemplated on being an actor and thought that "people in the arts - actors, ballet dancers, musicians, whatever - were weird", he decided to try "that acting thing" on impulse.[1] He applied to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and was accepted. There, Purcell studied alongside fellow actors Hugh Jackman and Frances O'Connor. After graduating in 1996, Purcell obtained his first acting role as Granger Hutton, a leading role in the Australian television series Raw FM.

After relocating to the United States in 2000, Purcell debuted on American television as the title character in John Doe in 2002. He first got his big break into mainstream stardom when he played the character of Drake in Blade: Trinity. Purcell's theatre credits include Antony and Cleopatra, Angels in America and The Pillars of Society.

He currently has a starring role as Lincoln Burrows in the successful Fox network television drama series, Prison Break.

In 2000, he won a green card lottery and now resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife, Rebecca, and their four children: Joseph (b. 1999), Audrey (b. 2001), and twins Lily and Augustus (b. 2003).

Amaury Nolasco (born December 24, 1970 in Puerto Rico) is an American actor, better known for the role of Fernando Sucre on the television series Prison Break.

Nolasco was born in Puerto Rico, where he studied biology as a full-time student at the University of Puerto Rico. Initially, he did not intend to become an actor. After various acting gigs, Nolasco moved to New York, where he trained at the American British Dramatic Arts School.

Not long after, Nolasco guest-starred in various television series such as Arli$$, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and ER. His first role on a feature film was as “Orange Julius” in Universal’s 2 Fast 2 Furious. He then went on to co-star opposite Bernie Mac in Mr. 3000.

Nolasco’s additional television and film credits include guest-starring roles on George Lopez, CSI: NY and The Benchwarmers.

Marshall Scott Allman (born April 5, 1984 in Austin, Texas) is an American actor. He is best known to television audiences for his role as L.J. Burrows on Fox's successful television series, Prison Break.

Allman was born in Austin, Texas to James Martin Allman Jr. and Idanell Brown. As he grew up he was talented in soccer and art. After graduating from Austin High School in 2002, he chose to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles, California over studying art in New York City.

Marshall has also made guest appearances on shows such as Boston Public, Without a Trace, Phil of the Future, Malcolm in the Middle, The Practice and Close To Home. Allman's film credits include Little Black Book, Dishdogz, Shallow Ground and Hostage.

Marshall married Jamie Brown in June 2006, in Austin, Texas.

Tunney was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 19, 1972 and raised on the South Side of Chicago. During her freshman year of high school, she attended St. Ignatius College Prep, a co-educational Catholic prep school in Chicago. She then went on to study acting at the Chicago Academy for the Performing Arts. At the age of 18, Tunney moved to Los Angeles, California and obtained several recurring TV roles on Class of '96, Law & Order, Dream On, and Life Goes On.

Her major breakthrough role was as a suicidal teenager in Empire Records before receiving the leading role as a gothic witch in The Craft, alongside Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Rachel True. Robin lost her hair for her role in Empire Records, and had to wear a wig in The Craft.

In 1997, Tunney starred in Bob Gosse's Niagara, Niagara with Henry Thomas in a performance which garnered her the Best Actress award Volpi Cup at the 1997 Venice International Film Festival. Tunney also starred opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1999 action film End of Days.

In 1997, Tunney married producer/director Bob Gosse. They were separated in 2002.

On June 28, 2006 Tunney won the 5th table of Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown's 8th season, finishing ahead of Christopher Meloni, Macy Gray, Joy Behar, and Andy Dick, moving on to the final table. The finale aired on July 5, 2006, where she competed against Jason Alexander, Michael Ian Black, Ida Siconolfi, and Keegan-Michael Key. Tunney came in second, behind Alexander, and ahead of Black, Siconolfi, and Key. She played for The Children's Health Fund, which received $200,000 for her efforts.

Stormare was born in Arbrĺ, Sweden as "Peter Storm", but changed his name when he discovered he shared it with a senior student at the acting academy. His original choice of name, Retep Mrots (his own name spelled backwards), was rejected. Stormare is a comparative of the word "storm", meaning "stormer".

Stormare began his career with the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theatre, to which he belonged eleven years. In 1990 he took a leading position (Associate Artistic Director) at the Tokyo Globe Theatre and made a name for himself through various Shakespeare performances including Hamlet. Three years later, he went to New York and mainly took part there in English language productions. In Sweden, he has worked with Ingmar Bergman, by whom he was apparently discovered. He has also played Carl Hamilton, a fictional Swedish secret agent similar to James Bond.

He was critically praised for his role as a quiet and ruthless villain (with Steve Buscemi) in Fargo (1996), and later played a sleazy, unlicensed "eye doctor" ("Solomon Eddie") in Minority Report. In 1998 he appeared in "The Frogger", a Seinfeld episode where he played a "rogue electrician" known as "Slippery Pete".He portrayed Dieter Stark in The Lost World:Jurassic Park. He also portrayed Uli Kunkel in the 1998 film The Big Lebowski, as well as playing Lev, the Russian Cosmonaut in 1999's Armageddon, and Alexi in the 2003 summer blockbuster Bad Boys II. In the 2005 film Constantine, Stormare played Lucifer. He played an interrogator in the 2005 movie The Brothers Grimm. His first major character in television was on the show Prison Break in 2005, where he played John Abruzzi.

He also was the voice of Mattias Nilsson in the videogame Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, and the voice of Isair in the computer game Icewind Dale 2.

In February 2006, he starred as "Wolfgang" in Volkswagen's "Un-pimp ze Auto" series of television commercials.

Stormare is contracted to play the main character in the Swedish upcoming movie "Svartvattnet", which is going to be filmed in Sweden and Norway during 2007.[1]

Today Stormare lives in the USA as well as Sweden. He is separated from his first wife, actress Karen Sillas, with whom he has a daughter named Kelly. He's now married to Toshimi Stormare.

Stormare is also a musician. After Bono of U2 heard some of Stormare's music, he encouraged him to make an album and in 2002, he released his first album, Dallerpölsa och smĺfĺglar. Stormare is the godfather of Gustaf Skarsgĺrd, the son of equally-acclaimed Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgĺrd, and plays in a band called Blonde From Fargo.

When playing Slippery Pete in "The Frogger" Episode of Seinfeld, Stormare was kicked off the frogger machine by George Costanza for using up the battery. Stormare creepily said "You owe me a quarter." As John Abruzzi in Prison Break, his only request from Michael Scofield when leaving in Otis was a quarter.[1]

Rockmond Dunbar (born January 11, 1973 in Oakland, California) is an American actor who currently has a starring role as Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin on the U.S. television series Prison Break.

Dunbar is best known for his leading role as Kenny Chadway on the critically-acclaimed Soul Food: The Series. Dunbar's television credits include several guest appearances in TV series such as Earth 2, Felicity, The Pretender, Two Guys and a Girl and North Shore. He also had a recurring role on the UPN series Girlfriends.

His film projects include Punks (which debuted at the 2000 Sundance film festival), Misery Loves Company, Sick Puppies, Whodunit, All About You and Warner Bros feature film, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. William "Bill" Edward Fichtner (born November 27, 1956 in East Meadow, New York) is an American actor. He is often credited as William Fichtner and occasionally as Bill Fichtner.

After graduating from State University of New York at Brockport with a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice in 1978, Fichtner decided to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He began his acting career as Josh Snyder in As the World Turns in 1987.

Fichtner's film credits include Contact, Heat, Armageddon, Go, Equilibrium, Black Hawk Down, and Crash. He is best known as a character actor, taking on supporting roles.

Credited as "Bill Fichtner", he lent his voice to the character Ken Rosenberg in the popular video games Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. From 2005-2006, Fichtner also starred in the science fiction drama series Invasion as Sheriff Tom Underlay. Frank Grillo (born June 8, 1963 in New York City, New York) is an American actor.

Grillo is probably best known for his role as Nick Savrinn in Season One of Prison Break. He also had roles in other television shows and movies, including the short-lived television series Blind Justice.

Grillo is married to fellow actor Wendy Moniz.

Stacy Keach (born June 2, 1941 in Savannah, Georgia) is an American actor and narrator. He was born Walter Stacy Keach, Jr. in Savannah, Georgia. He is most famous for his dramatic roles; however, he has done narration work in educational programming on PBS and the Discovery Channel, as well as some comedy and musical roles.

Early in his career, he was credited as Stacy Keach, Jr. to distinguish himself from his father Stacy Keach, Sr. His brother, James Keach is known most notably for being the director of the 1993 TV series and 1999 movie Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Stacy has been married three times: to Marilyn Aiken in 1975, to Jill Donahue in 1981, and to Malgosia Tomassi around 1986. He has two children from his third marriage. He was also romantically linked to singer Judy Collins in the early 1970s.

Keach graduated from Van Nuys High School in June 1959 and went on to study at the University of California, Berkeley, earning two BA degrees in 1963, one in English, the other in Dramatic Art. He received his M.F.A. from the Yale School of Drama and was a Fulbright Scholar at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Keach first appeared on Broadway in 1969 as Buffalo Bill in Indians by Arthur Kopit. He has won numerous awards including Obie awards, Drama Desk Awards, and Vernon Rice Awards. He portrayed film noir-style private detective Mike Hammer in the CBS television series Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer from 1984 to 1987. He returned to the role of Hammer in a new syndicated series from 1997 to 1998.

In the early 1980s, he starred in the title role of the national touring company of the musical Barnum composed by Cy Coleman.

Stacy Keach played Cheech and Chong's Police Department arch-nemesis Sgt. Stedenko in Up In Smoke and Nice Dreams. He portrayed Jonas Steele, a psychic and member of John Brown's Army in the 1982 CBS miniseries The Blue and the Gray. One of Keach's most controversial roles was Cameron Alexander, the militant white supremacist in American History X with Edward Norton and Edward Furlong.

He is most familiar to younger television viewers for narrating episodes of Nova, National Geographic, and various other informational series, and he performed in the role of Ken Titus, the father in the title family of Fox's Titus, and as Barabbas in Jesus of Nazareth. Beginning in 1999, he served as the narrator for the home video clip show World's Most Amazing Videos, which can now be seen on Spike TV. He currently serves as the host of The Twilight Zone radio dramas. He also has a recurring role as Warden Henry Pope in the Fox drama Prison Break and will be performing the lead role in Shakespeare's King Lear at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, September 9th through October 15, 2006 (extended through October 22, 2006).

In 1984, he was convicted of smuggling cocaine into the United Kingdom and spent six months in Reading prison. The governor of that prison would serve as the basis for his character, Warden Pope, on Prison Break.[1]
He is the honorary chairman of the Cleft Palate Foundation.
He was the first choice for the role of father Damien Karras in the 1973 movie The Exorcist, written by William Peter Blatty. He went on to play Kane in the 1980 movie The Ninth Configuration, written and directed by Blatty; this role was itself intended for Nicol Williamson.
All of the cast members of Titus have commented they enjoyed working with Keach, because, even with the dryest line the writers could invent, Keach would find a way to make the line funny.

Born Sarah Anne Callies on June 1, 1977 in La Grange, Illinois, Callies moved to Honolulu, Hawaii with her family when she was one. Throughout her youth, Callies expressed an interest in acting through participating in various school plays at Punahou School.

While her parents are professors at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, Callies did not follow in their footsteps. Instead, she chose to pursue a career in acting. After graduating from high school, Callies entered Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. In conjunction with her studies, she continued her involvement in theatre.[1] In 1999, she graduated with an undergraduate emphasis in Feminist Studies and a Senior Fellowship in Indigenous Studies.[2] Callies continued her education at Denver's National Theater Conservatory where she obtained her Master of Fine Arts degree in 2002.[3] That same year, Callies married her husband, Joshua Winterhalt whom she met at Dartmouth College. They moved to New York City where she got her first television role on NBC's Queens Supreme.

Callies' first role on television was as "Kate O'Malley", a recurring role on Queens Supreme. Her first starring role was as "Detective Jane Porter" on Tarzan, a short-lived Warner Bros. television series.

After making various guest appearances on Law & Order: SVU, Dragnet and NUMB3RS, Callies landed a starring role on Fox's Prison Break as "Dr. Sara Tancredi". Alongside her television projects, Callies has also starred in two feature films - Universal Pictures' Whisper and an independent, The Celestine Prophecy.

Williams and his three siblings were born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a youth, Williams was interested in drama and music, originating from his involvement at church. However, he did not intend to pursue acting as a career. Upon graduating from high school, Williams was set to study medicine at the University of Tulsa. His interest in music and drama never waned and eventually, he decided to switch career paths. Williams completed his Bachelor’s degree in theatrical studies at University of Tulsa and later obtained a Master of Fine Arts in acting from Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts where he studied under William Esper. He lives in Texas with his wife and daughter.

Beginning his acting career at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park in The Taming of the Shrew with Morgan Freeman and Tracy Ulman, Williams also had a role with Denzel Washington in Richard III. Williams then continued with performances on and off Broadway and toured nationally in productions such as Guys and Dolls, Les Miserables, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Ragtime, and Showboat.

His film credits include Flicka, Jarhead, Collateral, Ali, and Erin Brockovich. Additionally, Williams also appeared on television in series such as Over There, Six Feet Under, 24, NYPD Blue, CSI and as Father Cronin on The Bernie Mac Show.
