Carlos Gutierrez on Drums and Sal Zepeda on Guitar and not knowing how far they could take it, they began to put a band together. Carlos and Sal started to ask their close friends to join the band, This is when they got Adrian Gallego to play Bass, as they were trying out different vocalist’s Rick Rangel came to a practice one day and got on the mic. and was asked to joine, as time passed Adrian dropped out and Rick picked up the Bass and FBF picked up another vocalist (Ray Fiero), as they progressed they decided to pick up another guitarist and thats where Anthony Vasquez joined as Bassist and Rick switched to playing the guitar, this was the line up for a few months through 2003. Ray left the band in January of 2004 and another singer was picked up. This guy does’nt deserve to be mentioned and we’ll just leave it at that! HE WAS DROPPED!!! And the search was on for another vocalist . It only took FBF one day, to find Jovanny Herrera (AKA - Gio) from East L.A. Gio was the first guy they asked to try out and the last. They only needed to hear one song, which happened to be an origional that he wrote PLUS! he played guitar, so it was decided! Gio would be the new Vocalist and the third guitarist. Within the first two weeks of Gio being in the band they were in the studio adding Gio’s vocals to the first four track demo - Life...Death ...and FBF! A month later they played their first Whiskey gig with this lineup, and the response was overwelming. With many shows to follow FBF has continued to create more songs along with playing a variety of covers from influences like, Iron Maiden’s - Killers -Trooper - Hollowed Be Thy Name - Prowler, Testament’s - Over the Wall, JudasPriest - Hot Rockin, Exodus - Pirahna, Slayer’s - Die By the Sword, and Megadeth - Wake Up Dead. Although FBF has grown musically it was the decision of Sal to leave the band and start another band to play a different style of metal. Since Sal’s departure FBF decided they would keep the lineup with the four remaining members. With the collaboration of all four members they have remained true to their craft and dedicated to the return of Thrash Metal Music. Fueled By Fire soon returned to the recording studio to record their Debut Album - SPREAD THE FIRE!!! which contains nine tracks. Although FBF never had the oppertunity for a big launch for this album they have received orders for the album world wide to distros in places like Tokyo and Osaka - Japan, Netherlands, Brazil, Germany, Holland, France, Finland,Chile, Puerto Rico, ect... not to mention the albums that have gone to every state in the US. and Canada..... In November 2006 "FBF" was contacted by "Brian Slagel" owner/founder of "Metal Blade Records". Top exects from Metal Blade came to see FBF perform with Hallows Eve and Hirax and a deal was in the works . As of March 5th 2007 "FUELED BY FIRE" officially signed to the "METAL BLADE LABEL" Playing shows throughout California from San Diego to San Francisco and opening for bands like Agent Steel, Municiple Waste, Fates Warning, and Toxic Holocaust. "FUELED BY FIRE" have been invited to play in none other than "The KEEP IT TRUE FESTIVAL" in GERMANY!!! where they will be performing on a bill with bands that include "RAZOR" "JAG PANZER" "DOOMSWORD""TITAN FORCE""SENTINAL BEAST" and many more. All this before their album was even set to release with "Metal Blade" which now has a release date of August 7, 2007. Now starts the next chapter for "FBF".When only two months after the re-release of "Spread The Fire, on October 14, 2007 Gio decided to take another path in life, and has parted way’s with FBF. This is where Chris Monroy from Whittier Ca. met with FBF for an audition to fill the vacant position of lead guitarist, he was the one who stood out among many applicants. Although Chris is only 16 years of age he is an amazing talent and a great addition to the FBF lienup. Meanwhile still searching for a vocalist, the idea came to have Rick give it a shot as vocalist for an upcoming show, With an abundance of vocal range and energy Rick took the crowd!!! and now holds the position of Lead Vocalist/Guitarist. With U.S. and European tours set for the upcoming year, Fueled By Fire is making a name for themselves, developing a fan base thats growing every time they hit the stage. KEEP AN EYE OUT!!! they are litterally SPREADING THE FIRE!!! ....AND THEY ARE SURE TO HIT A STAGE NEAR YOU!!!!

It has long been claimed that Exhorder pioneered the angry, 90's post-thrash metal that is often linked to Pantera, as Exhorder were signed to a record label around the same time as Pantera (though Exhorder first released their music on demos in the 1980s, while Pantera was playing glam metal music. Many have claimed that Pantera stole Exhorder's sound, with the resemblance of stripped-down rhythm guitars, heavy double-bass drumming, and almost identical vocals (complimenting the basic American thrash style of the late 80's) However, Exhorder's first album Slaughter in the vatican was more in the vein of pure thrash, and Exhorder did not introduce heavy use of groove metal techniques until they released the Law on March 15, 1992, which still leaves the controversy of which band was the true pioneer of groove metal as Pantera already had two Groove metal releases (Cowboys from hell two years before hand, And Vulgar display of power a month before hand) before Exhorder released The Law, being Exhorder's first groove metal release.

Now onto EXHORDER. Not to stir up any tried-and-true bullshit here, but there’s been a legend approaching 20 years that PANTERA deliberately ripped off EXHORDER. Your vocal style was an obvious influence on Phil Anselmo in the early 90s, and there are even old school pictures of Anselmo proudly wearing an EXHORDER T-shirt. Perhaps it’s time to shitcan this legend, or instill truth to it. Would you defend the claim that PANTERA deliberately ripped off EXHORDER in order to survive the passing of the Glam-rock trend, or argue that PANTERA were slightly influenced by EXHORDER’s style and simply mixed it together with the late DIMEBAG DARRELL's incredible guitar playing?
The thing I hate the most of this topic is just how handcuffed we are to their success. Did they rip us off? Possibly. Was it deliberate? Maybe. Were they influenced by us? Definitely. Did they work a helluva lot harder than we did? Absolutely. Case closed.

You see a lot of bands wearing Slayer and Exodus shirts these days. They think they're so fucking metal, but they're just playing crap! If you love thrash so much, why don't you do it?
