Update Coming to 8 Ball Pool on Mobile in the Next Few Weeks
York's journey to several finals began on the Thursday with the first few rounds of the individual's championships. Many frames of pool were won, with all 15 York men making it past the first preliminary round. The star match of the evening however was undoubtedly Penny Lawn's Last 32 win over number 3 seed Fiona Smith from the University of Nottingham. Lawn didn't allow her opponent's seeding to faze her, and demonstrated early on that the women from York were not to be discounted.
We've been inspired by the epic, world-record breaking Battle of the Backsides, in which UK soccer stars Alan Shearer and Robbie Savage raced each to be the first to sit in on 45,000 seats at the iconic Wembley Stadium, all to raise money for the charity. Miniclip is very proud to be supporting Sport Relief 2014 and raising awareness of the outstanding work they are doing, said Jeremy Wadia, Chief Operating Officer of Miniclip. It's not quite as physical as Shearer and Savage's Battle of the Backsides' Wembley event but by playing 8 Ball Pool, fans can have great fun from sitting in the comfort of their own homes and still be supporting Sport Relief. In case you have almost any issues about where by in addition to the best way to work with 8 Ball Pool Coins, you possibly can email us on our own page.
In order to win a Monaco Lounge match-up, a player needs to win two games in a row against their opponent. With so much at stake, we know that there's always an outside chance that your opponent might make a good break and then clear the table without you taking a shot. So even if that happens in the first game, you'll get a break-off shot of your own to stay in the game. Happy New Year, 8 Ballers. We're super-excited about some of the new stuff we're working on for 8 Ball Pool in 2014, and these updates are the first place you'll hear about them. In the meantime, here's what we've been up to since our Christmas update.

Friday saw individual success from Russ Shaw. In the last 64 Shaw was drawn up against defending champion and number 1 seed Ifan Williams from the University of Cardiff.
Williams initially went 2-0 up, but a combination of seasoned tactical play and some incredible clearances allowed Shaw to win the next 4 frames and thus win the match 4-2. Shaw's excellent form continued with a last 32 win over Southampton's Anuruddha Higgoda, a spectacular win over Southampton's Micky Olding in the last 16 and a convincing quarter final win over Nottingham Trent's Mike Vernon. You've just emerged from the Azurite Mine, bloody and laden with loot. You're ready to sell the treasures from your latest delve, and you get ready to use a scroll to teleport you to a nearby town ignorant that betrayal is waiting around the corner. Welcome to Path of Exile: Betrayal, the next expansion for Grinding Gear Games'online action-role-playing game. The update is live now on PC, and it'll hit Xbox One on Monday. Look for it in the future when the New Zealand studio launches Path of Exile on PlayStation 4 it's been delayed.
Path of Exile's free Betrayal expansion, which lets you play as a detective (of sorts), has clearly struck a chord with players: soon after it launched yesterday, the ARPG smashed its concurrent player record, and at its peak, 117,000 people were logged in at the same time on Steam alone.
We recently talked to Grinding Gear Games' co-founder Chris Wilson and asked him whether he minds the comparisons between Path of Exile and Diablo and the answer is no way. Quite the contrary, in fact he finds them to be flattering. Just launching an ARPG is in itself a call for comparisons to Blizzard's iconic franchise. Whether you love it or hate it, Diablo is widely regarded as the benchmark for slash ARPG titles and if you can't at least match it you might as well not launch it.
It's been nearly eight years since Path of Exile went into closed beta testing. Since the week is slow due to the holidays, Grinding Gear devs have put up a cool article that is very much a walk down Memory Lane. In a series of videos with developer commentary, viewers can get a look at the game along various points in its development starting with a gameplay clip that shows combat during 2011's closed beta test.
Grinding Gear Games have provided action RPG enthusiasts and fanatics with a hardcore alternative in an increasingly casualized genre. We had a talk with Chris Wilson the man at Path of Exile's helm ever since its humble garage origins.
