SNAŽAN POTRES 6,5 POGODIO ČILE
Potres jakosti 6,5 stupnjeva po Richteru pogodio je srednji Čile i bio povod za oglašavanje uzbune u nekim četvrtima Santiaga. U potresu ipak nije bilo žrtava ni materijalne štete, priopćili su službeni izvori.
Potres je zabilježen u 20.08 sati po srednjoeuropskom vremenu, a trajao je 45 sekunda, prema državnoj službi za izvanredna stanja u ministarstvu unutarnjih poslova (ONEMI) koja nije izvijestila o ljudskim i materijalnim gubitcima. Seizmološka služba sveučilišta u Čileu izmjerila je magnitudu od 6,5 stupnjeva po Richterovoj ljestvici. Prema ONEMI-ju, jakost potresa u Santiagu bila je 5 stupnjeva po Mercallijevoj ljestvici koja ih ima 12. Potres je uzbunio stanovnike nebodera u Santiagu, Valparaisu i Vini del Mar. Epicentar je zabilježen 90 km sjeverno od luke Los Vilos i 325 km sjeverno od Santiaga.
