DENGA GROZNICA UBIJA SVE VIŠE LJUDI - PANIKA U INDIJI
Bolnice u Indiji prepune su zaraženih denga groznicom. Prijavljeno je oko 3 330 slučajeva i u posljednja dva dana umrlo je 9 ljudi što je ukupan broj žrtava doveo do 49. Od utorka na All India Institute of Medical Science prijavilo se 5 670 ljudi sa simptomima denga groznice. Primljeno je 825 ljudi.
Epidemija denga groznice 1996. odnijela je 400 života, a registrirano je više od 10 000 zaraženih ljudi. Za denga groznicu ne postoji konkretno cjepivo, no ako se na vrijeme otkrije smanjuje se postotak smrtnosti.
Bolest se prenosi ugrizom komarca Aedes aegypti i izaziva unutarnje krvarenje i groznicu.
