Cracked into a million bits

Play nto the hands of the media vultures
We must learn to unite our cultures
Violence constantly tears us apart
Show the world that we've got heart
Blood is spilled on black and white
Different colors, why do we fight
Face the facts, stone cold sober
Black and white and red all over
Thousands die and kill each other
Someone rapes and stabs their mother
I think it'ssick to count the death toll
On and on the media rolls
Drive by shootings, homicide
Nobody cares about the mother who cried
A family's grief stepped on by ratings
Understand why I keep hating
It makes no sense for us to be pawns
In the chess game that the media plays
If the streets are where you run
There you die, why? Find yourself a way out

Nephthys je po egipatskoj mitologiji bila kćerka božice neba- Nut i boga zemlje i vegetacije Geba ( ili Seba). Također u nastavku familijarne sapunice, sestra boga života i smrti Ozirisa.
Oziris je u početku vladao svijetom, kada je Ra napustio svijet kako bi vladao nebom.
Naime kao sestra Ozirisa, Nephthys je bila poznata kao „prijateljica mrtvih“ jer njena kosa usmjerava mrtve na siguran put u drugi život.
No njen drugi naziv je i „Mistress of the House“ odnosno „Gospodarica doma“, no dom ovdje simbolizira dio neba, mjesto rođenja sunca – odnosno budućeg boga sunca Horusa.
Naime po mitološkoj sapunici, njenog brata Ozirisa ubija brat Seth, bog pustinja i kaosa. No Oziris se reinkarnira – odnosno uskršnjuje u liku svoga sina Horusa.
Ovdje moramo shvatiti da je Egipatska mitologija korijen kasnijeg židovskog judaizma i naknadnog kršćanstva. Naime Seth se ponovo pojavljuje i u judaizmu,u knjizi postanka , kao nadomjestak za adamova sina Abela – kojeg naravno ubija brat Kain, motiv je identičan -ljubomora. Ali i primatelj „tajnog znanja“ Kabale.
I kasnije u kršćanstvu Nephthys i Isis, povezani su sa motivima savezništva dvije žene Marije, majke isusa i Marije Magdalene.
Naime po ubojstvu Ozarisa, Isis je Egipćanima dala novu nadu jer je svojim suzama naplavila Nil i vratila život, a Oziris je tako uskrsnuo u Horusa donoseći ljudima svijetlo – kasniji ekvivalent za Isusa.
Naime „donosioc svijetla“ odnosno znanja, pročišćenja, nade , spoznaje, itd. čest je motiv u starim mitologijama.
No ti prosvjetilji bi uglavnom nastradali prenoseći ljudima moć bogova i bili kažnjeni.
Prometej je tako kažnjen doživotnim mukama kao siguran zalogaj velikom orlu, a Lucifer jedan od najistaknutijih „Božjih „anđela koji se prvi oglušio o autoritet i donio ljudima vatru i spoznaju, svrgnut je s neba i bačen u podzemlje, a u kršćanstvu je postao simbol za apsolutno zlo, dajući crkvi alibi za srednjovjekovna ubojstva baš kao i dan danas mnogim psihičkim bolesnicima, „sotonistima“ itd…
No pošto je Novi zavjet uveo reformu samog Boga ako autoriteta koji je odlučio praštati, Isus je ovdje sin Boga, i iskupitelj, svjetlo svijeta ..itd- direktna referenca na Horusa pa s njime dijeli i još jednu veliku značajku „Uskrsnuće“. Dakle i on biva kažnjen smrću gdje umire na križu, ali se vraća uskrsnućem. I baš kao što Nephthys pomaže Isis oko tijela Ozirisa tako i Marija Magdalena pomaže Mariji, također majci, oko Boga koji treba uskrsnuti.
No 2 – 5 tisuća godina dovoljne su da mnogi mitovi postanu tabu i da se na osnovi njih i dalje obespravljuju i gube životi. A sunce je još uvijek iznad na pa ma kako ga zvali i u našem ograničenom znanju uskršnjue i pruža nam nadu i život iznova svakog dana bilo da ga dovodi Nephthys ili samo rotacija planete na kojoj živimo.
