Varig's winter timetable from 1986.. an airline that was from an exotic far away land as seen by me back then. Their DC-10s were coming into Mirabel Airport and for me that was a highlight of any planespotting trip to YMX.

10 Years later Varig would cease operations and re-emerge as a much smaller scale carrier.. such a shame for an airline that started in 1927

This is probably one of my oldest timetables go way way back when I was just a little kid.. The 747 was just introduced a year earlier and the VC-10 and 707 were BOAC's long haul workhorse aircraft.. the VC-10 here taking a back seat to the new 747-100 that makes front cover. Kind cool :-)
