2. Install LYNC-a - Pilot Pool [Click here to view document]

- Install Features/Roles: Remote Admin Tools, Message Queing (MSMQ), IIS role services, DNS SRV Record
- Prepare Active Directory
- Prepare first Standard Edition Server
- Install Topology Builder
- Create and Publish new topology using Topology Builder
- Install Lync server - Standard Edition

- Install WMI Backward Compatibility Package
- Merge Topologies Using Topology Builder Merge Wizard
- Import Policies and Settings

Link presents step by step Recovering mailbox (mail) on exchange server 2007/2010 using SC DPM 2007/2010.

SC DPM 2007 (DPM 2010 is aviable since 05/2010) is Microsoft software for backup/restore and disaster recovery.
As I use other products for backup/restore (HP Data Protector & Symantec) comparing to them, DPM is completely different in the way of thinking how it should work. But that is Microsoft. Complicate it as much as you can. Other backup softwares is more simplier to configuring and troubleshooting. For DPM (in big IT system) you need one person for administrating most of the time. Ofcourse, there is benefites, DPM give you more aviability, but that means complexity and more time spent on administration and troubleshooting.

Process in other way (Writable DC to RODC) is almost same.
There is only one point in installation where one check box must be selected,
to define DC to be RODC.
