Before u start reading...please play this song :) For the mood setter :) Few years ago I walked the streets of New York for the first time. In the style of old time jazz musical movies, all I could see were dazzling lights and street signs. I was charmed and blinded by colors of "what could be". Naive and unspoiled I strolled with a suitcase in my hand down the avenue of dreams. These days I find that eventually lights die and music turns into noise. Fred Astaire has left the building and so did the true romace. Or was it all fake to begin with? I crave to meet the great wizard somewhere over the rainbow, who will give me the courage to figure out what I want to be, since the yellow brick road has many directions. I tap my red "wannabe Blahnik" shoes and repeat "there is no place like home"...but where is my home? Is it this box of cement and steel that sprouted many unexpected roses, or is it the land of old ways and tradition which I never felt connected with. It is a constant question on my mind that with nights like these gets hightened and more present then ever. The city can be lonely.I admit. When something you felt was so real and so inviting, suddenly turned into a cold cold place you begin to wonder...Friends turn into foes, shadows into ghosts of past misery...you wonder if you will just end up trapped inbetween of endless "what if's" and "could be's". I am not asking for immediate solutions or gifts from "above". I am just drifting with this heat like every other being in the world...Maybe it would be easier if life was like old movies - black and white...nothing else...But life is in color...and with so much color there is no doubt that some days will eventually get oversaturated.
