Today was our first traveling day and we met at Teikyo parking at 7.45. Our bus started to drive us at 8.30. It was hard to get into the car and leave our first host-family. All the way to meeting spot I was just sitting in the car and thinking how time has passed so quickly.
So, after we said goodbye to everyone, our trip to Gallup, New Mexico could start. It was pretty hard to sit in the bus and hit the road especially as we spend so much time with our first host-family.
Ride was really long. We had 2 breaks during our drive and I saw some amazing places from the bus. We also had to cross the border of the state Colorado to state New Mexico. I didn’t know that they have like real borders in US. Of course, it’s nothing similar to any other border as you just have to pass it and you don’t need to show any kind of ID but it was amazing moment when I realized that borders of states exist, no matter that it’s all USA. View from the bus during the road was amazing. It’s all desert, but I liked it very much. There was nothing anywhere close for kilometers (or miles), only desert.

When we finally come to Gallup, we got our stuff from the bus and we had chance to meet our new host family. Host code this time was Turquoise and my host family is young couple with 2 cute kids. My host roommates are Amelia from China and Kristin from US who is also the staff member.

Julie, our host mum prepared us nice dinner and my first impression about Gallup is that is so different than Denver. Not only if I look at the size of the city as is the difference huge. Gallup only has around 20 000 citizens. Difference between states is huge, I mean, it must have been as New Mexico is desert and Colorado is mainly mountains state.
Well, I like it so far and I’m open for new experiences. We are going to stay in Gallup only 2 nights. Tomorrow we are having show in Gallup and in Wednesday we will continue our traveling to Tucson, Arizona. Tomorrow is a big day. I’m in the striking team again tomorrow morning as we have to prepare stage for the show.
Here you can see the rest of the photos from Gallup.
